Game: D&D 5e / 5.5e Group type: Online, using Discord and D&D Beyond Experience: All levels of experience welcome Location/Timezone: PDT / MST Schedule: Friday evenings, with Sunday evenings as a backup when needed Roles sought: 1–3 players. You do not need to DM, though there may be opportunities to DM in the future if interested. Game style: Mixed. Lots of silliness and table banter, but with defined stories, character development, and a good balance of roleplay and combat.
Hi everyone,
We're looking to recruit 1–3 reliable players for an ongoing online Dungeons & Dragons group. We play over Discord, with characters managed through D&D Beyond.
Currently, there are three of us in the group. We all DM and rotate our campaigns, switching between different arcs. We are about to start a new beginner campaign, so that will be your entry point, though you may eventually be joining other ongoing campaigns mid-stream.
You do not need to DM, but if you want to, you will absolutely get the chance at some point in the future.
We’ll work with anyone who joins to make sure their character fits naturally into the campaign and has a clear reason to be involved.
Most important requirement: Reliability. We're looking for players who can show up consistently, communicate clearly if they cannot make a session, and respect the time of the group. Experience level is less important than being dependable, engaged, and willing to work with the party.
Ideal players would enjoy:
Roleplay, exploration, and story-driven play
Managing characters across multiple campaigns
A balance of serious stakes, weird D&D energy, and occasional chaos
Being part of a consistent long-term group
Please do not apply if:
You frequently cancel at the last minute
You prefer purely tactical combat with minimal story
You are not comfortable joining an ongoing group
You cannot generally make Friday evenings
If you’re interested, please reply or message me with:
Your D&D experience level - Intermediate 5e, prefer high RP.
What kind of character you enjoy playing - I love the idea of character death and party dynamics. Particularly if there is a friction between characters forced to work together and overcome their inital adversity whether that is due to direct background history or an association that is revealed down the line. Characters should flow in and out of life and stories.
What you look for in a campaign - role play, conversations, character dynamics
Whether Friday evenings usually work for you - friday evenings are free MST is only 1hour difference from PST
Whether Sunday evenings can work as a backup - typically not due to family dinners
Any questions you have about the game - of the current running session what is the genre and where about are the characters in their journey?
I enjoy playing more Frontline, ranged or support. Im not a big arcane caster type character. But i really enjoy playing an explorer type character.
What you look for in a campaign
A good roleplaying and some hard combat encounters
Whether Friday evenings usually work for you
Yes
Whether Sunday evenings can work as a backup
Yes
Any questions you have about the game: what woudl you be looking forward to as a dm? Like a heavy rp and giant backstory to pull of of, or a more make the backstory then let it unfold naturally through the story
