Game: D&D 5e 2014 (with 2024 healing, and some homebrew - sharable inspiration, player awarded inspiration, Perkins crits, succeed with risk options, etc.) Group type: Online / Discord for voice (and video optional - I use it). DNDBeyond as homebase and VTT. Experience: All. I love the game and teaching the game. I can challenge long term players and cultivate a table that walks beside newbies. Location/Timezone: CST Schedule: Biweekly on Mondays at 7CST Roles sought: Player(s) - We currently have a regular cleric, and a homebrew temporal sorcerer and, at times, a fighter. The game is intrigue heavy so Charisma or melee based would be great, but its my job to make your characters work, not v/v. We are currently level 3. Game style: The game is intrigue based with multiple factions vying for power, so RP is dominant. That said, we don't avoid combat (though weapons are not the only way one wages war). Its a balanced game and the players are deeply caring about the world, each others' characters, and the players themselves.
The teaser: A bone-deep chill runs through you, rippling across the skin and settling in your bones. No breeze stirs. No winds whip. It should be comfortable: The calm, soft, silvery and purple light of Rosohna - the City of Rebirth - washes over you, bathing everything in a peaceful glow. Yet, you shiver. Something is amiss. You pull your cloak tightly around yourself and brace for...something. Something feels off. The War of Ash and Light has not only left scars across the physical terrain and bodies of soldiers. The fabric of the peaceful city seems to be stretching to near breaking, as unseen hands have taken hold of the fabric of Rosohna. This campaign begins under the same soft glowing lights of the Kryn capital city, in the world of Exandria (the main setting of "Critical Role"). We will begin in Rosohna itself in the wake of the Dynasty's external focus on the War of Light and Ash. Set either immediately before final negotiations for the accords between the Kryn Dynasty and the Dwendalian. For whatever reason, your character has been pulled into an invisible web that wraps more tightly across the city with each passing day. Will you be a force of peace? Will you find your place in the society of the Luxon? Or, will you be a force of chaos - the chill that runs across the city like a freezing wind? Will outside forces cause the cauldron to boil over or will the Dynasty emerge - once again - reborn.
Recent Reviews. Kya - "Been playing with Chris for a few months now, and I love how he implements characters and their backstories into the world. The whole campaign (besides the setting), is all his work. He puts so much work into the world- with the descriptions of settings and characters. He keeps his camera on and you can see different mannerisms with each NPC he does, in addition to different voices. I highly highly recommend him!!"
