Message Only Party

Hello! I am a relatively new player and am looking to start a party. I am not picky about what genre we play, I did order the new Neon Odyssey but am not sure when it will arrive. There is one restriction, though: I have a hearing disability that prevents me from participating in most auditory conversations. I am hoping that some people will want to try a message-only campaign (through Discord, D&D Beyond, Roll20, or another platform).

The way this would work is pretty much as you can imagine; at the set time, we would log onto a messaging platform instead of a video or voice call and play normally from there. I think this could be a really beneficial format for a lot of people too. If you tend to get overwhelmed when too many people are speaking at once, prefer to process things at your own pace, or just like having a written record of sessions to look back on, this style of play might be a great fit for you too.

Sessions would be fully text-based, so there is no need for a microphone or headset. My timezone is Pacific Daylight and would prefer people in the same zone or similar. If you are interested or have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Edit: We've put together a group on discord and are starting soon. We have more than enough, but in the future I will likely start something like this again.

 I am in the server; my handle is about the same there as it is here. I’m Central time, but text-based suits me just fine. I can DM if needed, but I’d rather be a player

No worries, I think that's how it'll work. We're still working through kinks, but would be happy to have you. Could you send over your discord? Or are you saying that you don't have discord? If that's the case, it sounds like this is a more common dnd format than I thought and I hope you have luck finding another group.
