Hello everyone. My name is Hok!

I will be starting the adventure Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign, soon. I've been playing D&D for a few years now as a player and decided that it's finally time to delve into the wonderful worlds of DMing.

About the game:
Lost Mine of Phandelver is a classic fantasy adventure involving exploration, combat, mystery, and roleplay. The story takes place in the "Forgotten Realms" continent. Expect a good mix of dungeon crawling, social interactions, and adventure. It's considered to be a classic for beginners since it's designed for Level 1-5 and is pretty well known in the community.

Game Style:

• 5e 2024 Rules. No Homebrew (exceptions can be made if they're balanced)
• Will be played on FoundryVTT with Discord
• Lots of Automation (Foundry Mods) to help smoothing out the pacing of the game
• Beginner-friendly
• Mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration
• Descriptive combat style

Looking For Players Who:

• 18+. For scheduling and group dynamic
• Face to Face table (webcam). I a big believer that emotions and attentiveness are better communicated if someone is seen and can see another person. No pressure on being a performer though!
• Commitment. If you're looking to join then try to sort out a time in your schedule. The playtime of the adventure is about 20-30h, so depending on how long our sessions are I expect 6-9 sessions (about 2 months)
• *Have some sort of experience. Even if you haven't played DnD before, that's okay. Any sorts of experience like BG3, watching Critical Role or even being in theatre club will give me a good foundation to start with.
• And lastly... are ok with mistakes. I am bound to make mistakes as a first time DM, and so will be your other players (and you!).

Session 0:
Session 0 will include characters-creation, discuss expectations/boundaries, and make sure Foundry/Discord (or any technicalities) work for everyone. More in detail when I message you personally.

I'm a 46 yr old Army vet Airborne Ranger EGB (Erweiterte Grundbefähigung) would be the equivalent. I even have German jump wings. Anyways, been playing since 3.5 and I'm pretty much ok with anything. I like darker, gritty realistic tones and any combination of combat/RP.
