Hi, I'm looking for a group to play with. I'm a bit new to TTRPG, but I've done a few one-shots and 2 partial campaigns (probably about a year's worth of playing on and off) in 5e and 5.5e so I have a basic knowledge of the rules. The group I've played with in the past has fallen off, so we don't really play anymore and I wanted to get back into it. The group I played with was also pretty new in general, so I'm sure there's a lot that I could learn from a group with a bit more experience.
I'm out near Chicago so central time and I'm available most weekday nights. Weekends can be a little rough because I typically have commitments and/or do some weekend travel over summers.
Looking for a group that's inclusive of all genders/orientations/backgrounds. An equal balance of RP and combat is probably what I'm looking for. If there's anything else you want to know please feel free to ask.

If you might be open to a paid game, I'm running a folk horror adventure on Friday nights, 8-11pm using discord and dndbeyond. Most definitely plenty of RP and the combats are all narrative driven for the most part. I am always new player friendly!
Folk horror definitely sounds fun, but Friday nights are usually my least available night.
