I have played in a few different campaigns but still feel pretty new to combat. As a theatre kid, I have the roll playing and fantasy elements down but combat is a struggle. Looking for a campaign that would allow me to explore combat more as a healer.
If you might be up for a paid game I'd be happy to bring you along in a game on Friday nights (starting at 9pm EDT). It's the folk horror adventure "Crooked Moon", with deep roleplay, personalized story arcs, narrative driven combat, and emotional trauma that only a horror story can produce (all in good fun)! Let me know!
Hi cowboymerritt! Your combination of theatre experience, comfort with roleplay, and desire to become more confident with combat caught my attention.
I’m currently recruiting for The Burden of Fate’s Demand, a new weekly D&D 5e campaign playing Fridays at 8:00 PM Eastern for approximately 3–4 hours.
I also came to tabletop roleplaying through theatre and improv, and my games place a strong emphasis on character work, collaborative storytelling, emotional investment, and giving players room to make meaningful choices. The campaign includes combat, but it is used in support of the story, and I’m very comfortable helping newer players understand their abilities without expecting them to arrive knowing every mechanic.
Characters begin the campaign as ordinary people without classes and are created collaboratively during Session Zero. Their abilities emerge through the opening story, so your interest in developing into a healer could be explored naturally with the group rather than requiring you to arrive with a fully optimized combat build.
Since you said LGBTQ+ friendliness is a requirement: I’m queer myself, the campaign and world are deliberately inclusive, and I use Session Zero, an anonymous boundaries survey, Lines and Veils, X/N/O cards, and other safety practices to establish a respectful table.
This is a paid campaign through StartPlaying at $15 USD per session. It has not started yet, and there are currently four of six seats available.

Hi everyone,

Things to know:
I am 21+
LGBTQ+ friendly isn't a suggestion, its a must
I am in the Eastern Time (EDT)
Thank you in advance!

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! How much is it per session?
It is just $15 per session! I already have 2 interested and could realistically start with 3 (one I'm just waiting on to sign up).
