Hello everyone! I have 2 openings for a custom homebrew campaign on Mondays 5:30PM pst. Currently only really looking for players that just want to throw some dice and have fun! (If you take the game a little too serious where it interferes with the enjoyment of yourself and others this probably isn't a good fit for either of us (;__; ) also please be dedicate if you are interested!)
So far the group is 15 sessions in. They've interacted with a small village, completed some small quests in town, navigated a great a forest full of horrors and have reached leveled to 5!
You'll start at Lvl 5 and close to a neighboring town full of corruptions
Set 50 Years after a calamitous event, the world of Sidorica is grim and dark. A massive blue crystal sits in the center of the land, tall as a mountain and large as a country it gives magic to every single being, however that was before the event. Now it sits dormant and black, magic only entrusted to the foulest of soul or those who understand true hardship. Trust is low and a majority of the world will not share what they have without something in return. Death is brimming around every corner and the selfish nature has consumed many people, causing mass raids and ravenous monster attacks. This however is simply a concern for common folks. This could have been your daily life or perhaps you were of noble birth and were spared such atrocities.
Nevertheless, you wake up one day to find a crimson crystal (3-5 inches) attached somewhere on your body. Humming with a strange arcane energy it draws malice and omens to all who find themselves cursed enough to hold one. You seek help with the local doctor, the next day they are found dead and gutted. You feel fine but at the same time, another person close to you falls ill or is attacked by a monster. Its not long before people connect some dots and blame you for recent deaths and attacks. Be it fearing for your love one’s lives or your own, you flee your home; feeling a tug towards a general direction. After weeks of travel, you hear tales of adventures hunting these crystals and their source, followed by tales of the horrors that occurred in their wake.
Bearing the curse, you find yourself drawn to finding a way to remove such a thing from your body and make your way to the source of these tales, for better or worse.....

Hey! This sounds potentially like a really good fit. Level 5 start, 2024 rules, darker setting, and 70/30 combat-to-RP all line up with a lot of what I’m looking for.
Also, Monday nights would actually work for me. I’m CST, so 5:30 PM PST would be 7:30 PM my time, which is totally doable. My bigger preference is really just keeping weekend evenings open for plans.
A couple quick questions before I fully commit:
Is combat usually pretty tactical/challenging with maps and positioning, or more casual? (I'm looking for higher challenge)
How homebrew-heavy are the actual table rules? I’m cool with homebrew world/items/rewards, but I generally prefer the core rules to stay pretty close to the book. Also I own the new Faerun and Ravenloft books and would love to use options from them.
Is Play Multiverse pretty map/token focused? I’m very visual, so theater of the mind can be hard for me to follow.
Is the table LGBTQ+ friendly?
Could you explain best of three rolling for me? I'm used to point buy.

Class: Flexible! I enjoy building around party needs. Some current ideas I’m excited about are Lupin Grave Cleric, a Hobgoblin Fighter 1/Bard X, or something support/control/frontline-adjacent. I like optimization but I’m not trying to break the game or make the DM regret inviting me.
Are you comfortable with 2.5–4 hour sessions?: Yes, absolutely.
Playstyle: I enjoy tactical combat, dungeon crawling, teamwork, and character builds with fun mechanical interactions. I like optimization, but not in a “squeeze every allowance out of the DM and ruin everyone’s good time” way. I just enjoy the puzzle of making something cool and effective.
I also enjoy roleplay and character moments, but I’m not trying to turn every scene into my personal monologue. I like a table where people can giggle, roll dice, make bad decisions in dark hallways, and laugh when things go sideways.
Player expectation for the campaign: I’m looking for a kind, respectful, fun table with good communication, challenging combat, visual maps/tokens, and people who care about the game without taking it so seriously that it stops being fun. I’m very okay with danger, failure, and character death if the game is hard but fair.
I’m also comfortable with darker or mature story themes, as long as everyone is normal and respectful about it. Dark fantasy is great. Weird table behavior is not.
Experience level: Experienced. I know the rules well and won’t need hand-holding, though of course I still make mistakes like anyone else. I may occasionally ask about a rule if I think something is being missed, but I try to do that calmly and respectfully. If it bothers the table, I’ll stop.
Do you have access to a computer or laptop for VTT?: Yes.
Hi! This sounds interesting and I'd like to join if possible! The time and day works out great since I have Monday nights free and I'm EST so it would be evening for me (im also a night person so if sessions ran long thats fine with me!).
Discord name: biskits4mee
Class: I'd like to try a Goliath druid, but I'd be open to trying other classes if there's already a druid or another role is needed.
Are you comfortable with 2.5-4 hour sessions?: Yep, I'm comfortable with 2.5-4 hour sessions.
Playstyle: My preferred playstyle is a mix of things, I'm not very good at roleplay yet (tho I would like to improve) so 70% combat, 30% roleplay sounds like it'll be a good way to get some practice without it being overwhelming.
Player expectation for the campaign: My expectations would be to have a fun time and be able to work with the other players to develop the story and have fun with the battles. I'd also hope to have good communication between players and with the dm, as well as to have everyone's boundaries respected.
Experience level: I'm not super experienced, I've been playing with a group of friends for about a year but weve had to take a lot of breaks due to life happening and schedule conflicts with some players.
Do you have access to a computer or laptop for VTT?: Yep, I have access to a laptop and a decent internet connection.
I only have the player's handbook currently, would that be an issue? Thanks!
Is combat usually pretty tactical/challenging with maps and positioning, or more casual? (I'm looking for higher challenge)
More casual, like the fights are tough but doable. XXX

Just the books listed above for balance purposes. Homebrew rules, they are mostly player sided with the exception of Nat 1s and 20s. Like healing potions as a BA and rolling death saves in private.
Is Play Multiverse pretty map/token focused? I’m very visual, so theater of the mind can be hard for me to follow.
It's mostly token purposes and a decent (40%) theater of the mind.
Is the table LGBTQ+ friendly?
Absolutely everyone is welcome as long as they are respectful and mature.
Could you explain best of three rolling for me? I'm used to point buy.
Sure! Basically on the discord we have a bot that rolls 4d6 for your stats and removes the lowest one. For instance 4D6---> 4,5,1,6 It would cancel the 1 and you'd be left with a 15 as one out six ability scores.
