Kobolds! Wererats! Gnomes! Oh my! ----------------------------------------- Hello thrill-seeking adventurers! Before you I offer a story of hidden danger, newfound heroism, and the age-old tale of victory and sacrifice. Rumors stir up and down the Sword Coast that something dangerous has made hearth and home within the snow-capped range of the Sword Mountains. Within the skies of Icespire Peak, that large something stirs restlessly. Scouts report signs that local orc tribes have hurriedly evacuated the Neverwinter Wood, and even the outskirts of the frontier town of Phandalin are becoming nesting ground for manticore. Built on the ruins of a dream once failed to bear fruit, Phandalin has nonetheless become home to farmers, woodcutters, fur traders, and prospectors all drawn by stories of gold and platinum in the foothills of the Sword Mountain within recent years. Ambitious citizens are becoming more and more unsettled by the increased proclivity to danger. Who will purge the evil that resides within Icespire Peak, and who will bring about a period of prosperity for the people of Phandalin?
Hello y'all! I'm Roarkt, I'mover 21 (he/him), and I'm looking to form a new group of about 5or 6 players for a weekly game based off of the Icespire Peak 5e adventure. It's a beginner friendly module, and thankfully you'll be playing with a beginner friendly Dungeon Master too. I've both played and hosted official and homebrew D&D 5e games for about 5 years now, and I'd love to get back into the swing of things with some like-minded folks off the Interwebs! I try to provide an even smattering of opportunities to roleplay and engage in combat. I think my previous players would agree that it's about 65% roleplay to 35% combat. That being said, when combat breaks out, I intend on it being meaningful, challenging, and/or rewarding. Why else would you psychos choose to put your lives on the line as adventurers? Since we're playing a tabletop-roleplaying game, I hope to find individuals looking for a collaborative storytelling experience. I'm up for any ideas you'd like to run by me for characters, and I'd love to collaboratively craft a compelling story and character for you to feel adequately immersed within the game. I'm unfamiliar with the 2024 5e rules (and I always will be), so this will be using the rules of the 2014 PHB. We'll also be using Discord for voice communication, D&DBeyond for sheet management, & Roll20 or D&DBeyond for visual representation (I haven't decided yet).
THAT BEING SAID... ---------------------------------
I have not posted a time yet for this game as I am fairly free throughout the week. I would prefer a game no earlier than 6pm CST during the week, and can do a later time during the weekend if that's what's needed. In the comments or via private message please let me know if a 6pm session-start-time works for you, your name (or alias), if you're over 18 y/o, your Discord username, why you enjoy playing TTRPGs, and one thing your fellow players should know about you. Character creation will be discussed privately, and any questions are welcome on this thread, or privately. Let's have some fun escaping together!
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Veteran, been playing since Original D&D. Dm'd face-face games looong ago. Location/Time zone: USA Central (GMT-5) Availability: Well-over 18, Available on Thurs evenings. Preferred role: Player Game style: Like action, but enjoy a good story. Enjoy Role Playing more than Roll playing. Love being an eager participant on a team working to a common goal. I usually play some form of a tanky healer, but have played almost every class.
Hi! I’m Space! I’m 20 and my Discord is spacelentil. (With the . At the end) A 6PM CST start works for me, though I’d truthfully prefer 7pm onwards (That’s 9AM for me for reference, I’m Australian)
I love TTRPGS, mostly D&D, because I love the stories you can tell through it and the people you can meet!
