The crowd parts around a body in the street.

Rain has left the cobblestones slick. A City Watch whistle cuts through the evening, and half the block has stopped to stare. Someone is dead. Everyone nearby has a story.

One of them might even be telling the truth.

By morning, you’re following leads through taverns and back alleys. A simple murder starts pulling you toward guilds, nobles, masked criminals, and people who really do NOT want you asking questions.

Somewhere under Waterdeep, half a million gold dragons are waiting to be found.

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is an urban mystery adventure about chasing clues through a city full of secrets. You’ll investigate crimes and deal with powerful factions while trying to find a hidden fortune before the wrong people do.

New players are welcome, and experienced players will have plenty of room for a weird little character concept. The campaign runs from levels 1 to 5, so it gives you a complete story without asking for a years-long commitment.

Full D&D Beyond content sharing is included, with a wide range of official character options.
