Looking For RP Focused Group

Game version: 5/5.5e is what I'm familiar with
Group preferred: Discord, but I'm willing to use other online platforms.
Experience: New-ish (I have a few months' worth of experience)
Timezone: USA Eastern Time Zone
Availability: I'm always free as I'm too disabled to work (this won't interfere with DND sessions).
Preferred Role: Player. I wouldn't know anything about being a DM.
Game style: RP heavy. I like combat very much, I just am a bit more interested in the RP aspect.
Extra info: I love to create characters that feel like they're from the world that they're in, not like they just randomly landed there. I super love lore dumps and working with DMs to integrate my character(s) into the world that the DM has created, so I do read every bit of lore given to me. I would like to have a back and forth with the DM (like in a session 0) to better build a character that's more than just something I like, but something that fits and feels very natural to the world. I don't mind homebrews; the bit of experience I have with DND was from a homebrew campaign. I really would like to find a group that doesn't mind getting into both lighthearted and serious RP, with both comedic and dramatic moments. I'm not afraid of PC deaths, so long as I am allowed to create another character to continue to join in on the adventure. I have a bit of social anxiety which will either present as not talking enough or talking too much, so please don't feel afraid to point it out to me as I won't take that the wrong way. I would very much love to join a campaign at the very beginning of it. I'm not opposed to jumping into a campaign that's already underway, but I would absolutely love the chance to be able to be at the very start of a campaign.

Please note: If you get offended by someone asking about what kind of setting/overall plot/literally anything about your world, please don't reach out to me. Please also do not reach out to me if you get offended if asked if there are already other group members or if you, as the DM, are still gathering other players. I don't mean for this to sound rude, I just recently had someone be rather aggressive with me that I asked just a few questions and it has me cautious and rethinking about looking for open groups.
