Player looking for an online D&D 5e/5.5 group. I have a fair amount of experience as a DM and am now hoping to join a consistent online campaign as a player. I’m available weekday evenings but not weekends. I enjoy classic fantasy settings, and I’m flexible on platform (Foundry, Roll20, etc.). Pacific Standard Time (US). Looking for a long‑term, cooperative group that enjoys both roleplay and combat.
Hi! I saw that you’re an experienced DM looking for a consistent, long-term weekday campaign where you can finally settle into the player side of the table.
I’m recruiting for a new weekly D&D 5e campaign called The Burden of Fate’s Demand. It plays Fridays at 5:00 PM Pacific time, with sessions lasting approximately 3–4 hours. We use Discord for voice, D&D Beyond for character sheets and rolls, and D&D Beyond Maps as the VTT.
The campaign is cooperative and character-driven, with a strong emphasis on roleplay, lore, mystery, exploration, meaningful decisions, and combat that advances the story. It is planned as a genuinely long campaign rather than a short module, and it has not started yet, so you would be joining while the group and characters are being built together.
I should mention that it is an original homebrew setting rather than a traditional Forgotten Realms-style campaign. The world begins relatively grounded and low-magic, with the characters starting as ordinary people before unexpectedly receiving extraordinary abilities. It still has fantasy adventure, monsters, supernatural forces, extensive lore, and an increasingly large-scale story, but it approaches those elements from a darker mystery-focused direction.
This is a paid campaign at $15 USD per session through StartPlaying. There are currently four of six seats available.
You can read the complete premise, see my GM profile and reviews, ask me questions, or reserve a seat here:
