Game: Echoes Before the Wheel (Home-Brew / D&D 5.5e)
Type: Online (Discord/D&D Beyond (character sheet & VTT at times)) - I might move back to roll20, we’ll see.
Experience: I’ve DM’d many games across multiple platforms over the years. I genuinely enjoy the shared storytelling experience. Working in the arts keeps me quite busy, but I do love the “yes, and…” approach to TTRPS.
Location: I’m based in SoCal, so PST.
Schedule: I’m looking to every-other week on Sundays, around 7 or 8pm for a few hours.
Players Sought: 3-4 people (new/new’ish people are 100% okay)

Greetings all,
I’ve been gold-fishing this home-brew campaign for quite a while now and I’m now at a place where I’d love to start a group to see where they take it! Being the theatre guy that I am, I tend to be busy, and I want to carve out some time to give this world a test drive.
“Echoes Before the Wheel” is an urban fantasy mystery that begins in modern-day Los Angeles before unfolding into a much larger story. Expect investigation, meaningful combat, surreal discoveries, and a world where asking the right question is often more important than swinging a sword.
You will begin the story (Session 0) as a human after which you will soon begin to discover your true nature. You will still have the agency to create any lvl 1 character you desire, which you will have in hand, at the end of Session 0.
I’m hoping to find players who:
-Enjoy roleplay and collaborative storytelling.
-Love mysteries and uncovering secrets.
-Can embrace the weird and sometimes creepy. Not all horror, just enough to raise that anxiety level. :-)
-Create characters with goals, flaws, and personality.
-Are curious, engaged, and enjoy helping everyone at the table shine.
-Recognize we are all here to have fun! :-)
No knowledge of the setting is required. In fact… it’s probably better if you don’t know what’s waiting on the other side of reality. :-)
If you are interested or have any questions, send me a PM or hit me up on discord (user name: Helrit). I will send you over a g-form that goes over the “Lines and Veils” of the campaign, quick little player questionnaire, as well as a more complete campaign “hook”. :-) 5 min max.
I hope to hear from you and have a positivity amazing week!
Be well, — Helrit
