Game: D&D 5e/5.5e (the more I learn, the more I'm also ok with older and/or homebrew rules being used, if that's what the group wants) Group preferred: Face-to-face -- I would be ok with an online DND Beyond group as well, but a solid in-person group is preferred. Players should be dedicated to playing. If you miss a session, then maybe the GM will work something out with you, but the rest of us will still meet and play. Experience: New -- I just started learning this year and played very little. Current character is level 2 and we haven't done much. I have books and I've created multiple characters, so I do believe that I'm starting to learn how things work, even if it has been mostly by reading more than playing. Location / Time zone: Greensboro, NC - Eastern Standard Time
Hosting: I can host at my home for a group comprised of 6-players + 1-GM (seven total, including me). If I'm hosting, I prefer for everyone to be over the age of 18. Availability: Tue or Thur evening availability. I'm willing to do weekly or every other week. Preferred role: Player Game style: I'm currently playing 5e / 5.5e, but the folks I'm playing with, who have played forever, tend to bypass certain rules. As long as everyone is onboard with the style we're playing, and everyone is having fun, then I'm fine to keep it casual and fun. Being new, I just need to know what's allowed and what isn't. I'm not sure if I'll be a good role player, but so far I've enjoyed the role playing more than the combat. We've only had one encounter, so that could change, but I do like characters with a good story. A long-term campaign seems to be what I'm leaning towards.
