The Crawl
Earth is gone. Not because it exploded or because humanity lost a war. It was purchased by the Ink that Bind Enertainment! Everyone who survived had one choice: enter the Dungeon or don't.
You choose to live dangerously and go down the stairs, into the unknown. Now you're part of the biggest entertainment event in the galaxy. Every fight, every terrible decision, every ridiculous achievement, and every impossible victory is broadcast to billions of viewers. Sponsors are watching. The AI is watching. If you're entertaining enough, they'll reward you.
If you're not...
Well, there are always more crawlers.
What Kind of Game Is This?
A few weeks ago I picked up Dungeon Crawler Carl. I finished all eight books in about two weeks. I genuinely could not put them down.
The series had me in an absolute chokehold. One moment I was laughing at one of the dumbest achievements imaginable, and the next I was completely invested in the characters and what they were fighting for. It somehow balances absurd humor with real emotional stakes better than almost anything I've read.
When I finished, I wanted to keep going. I knew book 9 wasn't coming out for a while. So I began to wonder what my World Dungeon would look like. I didn't want to retell Carl's story. I wanted to see what our season of the Crawl would look like. That's the goal of this campaign.
This Isn't a Book Recreation
You won't be playing Carl, Donut, or following the events of the novels. Instead, we'll build an entirely new season together. Every floor is original. (We will be keeping the tradition of the Overcity, the Hunting Grounds, Faction Wars, and so on.) Every boss, quest, achievement, loot box, NPC, and mystery has been created for this campaign. The tone is heavily inspired by Dungeon Crawler Carl, but the story belongs entirely to your group.
You'll make your own reputation. Earn your own achievements. Annoy, or titillate, the AI in entirely new ways.
How the Dungeon Works
The Dungeon is always watching. It notices patterns.
If you're the crawler who always finds another solution, the Dungeon notices. If you're constantly risking your life to save strangers, it notices. If you become known for blowing things up in increasingly creative ways, it definitely notices.
Your class isn't chosen immediately. During the first two floors, the Dungeon watches how you solve problems, interact with people, and survive. When you reach the third floor, it recommends classes based on the crawler you've actually become.
This isn't about finding the strongest build. It's about becoming memorable. Being so entertaining that the masses outside don't want to turn off their neural implants.
My Style
I enjoy campaigns where player creativity matters more than memorizing rules. Much like the AI, if you come up with something clever, I want to see if it works.
The Dungeon has consistent rules, but it doesn't explain everything. Part of the fun is experimenting, discovering hidden mechanics, and occasionally stumbling into something the AI finds hilarious enough to reward.
Expect plenty of combat, but also exploration, puzzles, social encounters, strange NPCs, and moments where talking your way through a problem is far more valuable than swinging a sword.

About Me
I go by Pun.
I've been running games for over 10 years and professionally for more than 5. I've completed multiple campaigns from level 1 to 20 that lasted several years each, and have others well on their way.
Building worlds is what I love most, and Dungeon Crawler Carl reminded me why I fell in love with tabletop RPGs in the first place. I wanted to capture that same feeling of walking into a room with absolutely no idea whether you're about to find legendary treasure, accidentally start a floor-wide catastrophe, or earn an achievement that roasts you in front of the entire galaxy.
Pricing
For the first three months, sessions are $30 each ($120/month).
After that, pricing becomes $140/month.
Session Zero and your first session are completely free so you can decide whether the table is a good fit before making any commitment.
Requirements
18+
Stable internet and microphone
Roll20
D&D Beyond
Beyond20
Discord
No knowledge of Dungeon Crawler Carl is required. If you've never read the books, you'll be learning alongside your crawler. Though I do give a full throated endorsement of the series.
Soon I'll have a Startplaying up for this, but for now we will do it the old fashioned way. Respond to this message with the answer to the following and we can get going! Oh, and remember, get out there and kill, kill, kill!
Boop.
