Seeking 2 Players + DM for Story‑Focused 5e Campaign

Hey everyone!

Unfortunately, the campaign I was in recently came to an end because our group had very different expectations of what D&D should feel like

• Two of us (including me) played D&D in a Baldur’s Gate 3 / Witcher style — exploration, NPC interaction, decision‑making, story immersion.
• The other two played in a Dark Souls style — constant combat, rushing ahead, skipping roleplay and worldbuilding.

Both styles are valid, but together they didn’t mesh well. When half the table wants to explore, talk to NPCs, and enjoy the world, and the other half wants to sprint forward and fight nonstop, it becomes frustrating for everyone.

So my friend and I are starting fresh and looking for two new players and a DM who enjoy a more BG3/Witcher‑inspired approach — a balance of combat, exploration, discovery, and roleplaying.

We’re planning to start August 1st, since my friend is away at camp until late July and I’m busy this month. This gives us time to meet people and make sure the group fits well.

What We’re Looking For — Players

• Enjoy a mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay
• Like talking to NPCs, discovering lore, and making meaningful choices
• Don’t rush other players
• Are chill, semi‑serious, and just want to have fun
• Prefer an 18+ group
• Use Discord for voice

What We’re Looking For — DM

• Experienced or brand new — both are welcome!
• Comes prepared with maps, location and story
• Enjoys worldbuilding, NPCs, exploration, and story‑driven and not into dungeon crawlers
• Is patient, easy going, fun, and collaborative
• Can take Constructive Criticism 
• Also just so you know, were not looking to Pay to Play, so this is essentially they will be doing this for free. 

Schedule & Details

• Game: D&D 5e
• Platform: Discord (and whatever else the DM decides)
• Group: 18+
• Start Date: August 1st
• Days: Saturdays (non‑negotiable)
• Time: 3pm MST (just as a basic time for now, can be adjusted)
• Frequency: Weekly or Bi‑Weekly
