New/old player in North America, central, mountain or pacific TZ

Started playing D&D then AD&D then Battletech, teenage mutant ninja turtles, car wars as well as board games.
Stopped for a while (work) and now want to pick it up again.
Haven't played the "role playing" type of game (for long - game died after a few sessions)) but willing to try.
Currently I am new to D&D5e so am only willing to be a player.
I am open to "paid" (never tried) games.
I am available in the evenings other than Tues and Fri. Times are open as I am fairly flexible.
