First-Time DM for The Lost Mines of Phandelver

Hello!

My name is Steve. Join in my first foray as a DM. That's right, I'm a first-time DM working on this basic adventure, hoping to hook 4-5 players who might be new to D&D so that we are all around the same experience level. I have the module and maps. I am local to the suburbs of the Chicago, and I'm open to either running the game in-person in a location convenient for everyone, or on Discord and VTT. I'm hoping to have enough players onboard by late summer, early fall at the summer.

The story centers on a quest to locate Wave Echo Cave, a lost mine holding legendary riches and the magical Forge of Spells. After the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker is kidnapped by goblin bandits, heroes must rescue him, clear out local bandits in Phandalin, and defeat the mastermind: a villain known as the Black Spider.
