Game style: I am brand new and so am definitely ISO of a casual, beginner-friendly game. I have never played DnD or any other RP game. I actually am AWFUL at RP but I want to do better. My built character is a Druid.

Hi SirenSins! I saw that you’re completely new to D&D, looking for an adult beginner-friendly group, and especially interested in becoming more comfortable with roleplay.
I’m recruiting for a new weekly D&D 5e campaign called The Burden of Fate’s Demand. It plays Fridays at 8:00 PM Eastern for approximately 3–4 hours.
The campaign is roleplay- and story-focused, but you would not be expected to arrive already knowing how to perform a character or improvise elaborate scenes. Roleplaying can simply mean deciding what your character believes, how they react, and what choices they make. I have a teaching background, welcome new players, and am comfortable helping with both the rules and the roleplaying side as you learn.
Characters are created collaboratively during Session Zero and begin as ordinary people without classes. Their classes and powers emerge through the opening story. That means you would not bring the completed druid into the game unchanged, but your interest in playing a druid could absolutely help guide the kind of person we create and the direction their abilities eventually take.
The game is an original fantasy mystery with supernatural and horror elements, exploration, puzzles, consequential choices, and combat that supports the story. The campaign has not started yet.
I also want to be completely transparent that this is a paid game through StartPlaying at $15 USD per player, per session. There are currently four of six seats available.

Since you’re looking for a place to learn from the beginning and become more confident with roleplay, I thought the campaign’s collaborative opening might be a particularly good introduction.
