Looking for a DM to Adopt Us!

Hi everyone!

We're a group of 4–5 players looking for an experienced DM to take us under their wing for a long-term D&D campaign.

We've all played on and off over the last couple of years, so we're familiar with the basics and eager to dive into a great adventure. We're a chaotic bunch of misfits who love a healthy mix of:

• Roleplay
• Combat
• Puzzles
• Rich lore and world-building

We're looking for a DM who's happy to guide the story, keep the pace moving, and gently nudge us along when we inevitably fall into analysis paralysis over every door, lever, and suspicious-looking barrel.

Above all, we're after a fun, collaborative game with plenty of laughs, memorable moments, and an epic story to tell. If you've got a world you're itching to run or have room for a lovable band of adventurers we'd love to hear from you!

We are GMT based so a DM who can work with those times would be ideal.

I can DM a campaign for you, if it's a play-by-post campaign either here or on Discord.  I'm normally in US Central time, but currently wrapping up an epic vacation in Japan.  I'll be back in the States in mid-August, but if you'll have me, we can get started planning the campaign, fleshing out characters and maybe even running a prequel adventure for each one in the meantime, to determine exactly how the party meets up.

If we can talk more as a group about the type of campaign the party's interested in (mystery, wilderness exploration, political intrigue, vast city, pirates, etc.), or a particular setting you'd like to explore, that'll help set up the adventure, and I particularly enjoy working all the PCs' backstories into the tale, so everyone has a stake in the outcome.  I've been playing and DMing since the late 70s, so I've got a pile of adventures to choose from and adapt into a campaign, and I finished up a 2.5-year live play session before we left on our trip, so I can draw from that as well.  And as an aspiring author, it's all about the story for me.

Once I'm back in the States, we may even be able to have a live session on Discord every now and then, if it works with peoples' schedules.  If I seem like a good fit for the group, either respond here, or DM me, or hit me up on Discord (bird94us) and we can talk further.
