Schedule: Tuesday July 21 - start 6:30pm EST end 10:00pm EST
Roles sought: 4-6 players
I'm running a one-shot to give some newer players a chance to try out the game. My weekly Ravenloft mini campaign is off for the week and this will also give me the opportunity to meet some new players as well.
The story: "You arrive in a small farming village after a long day of travel. Before you can find shelter from the storm that has been threatening all afternoon, you hear that young Arven Bothu has gone missing and your party of heroes gladly agree to help the villagers search for him."
The game is first person role playing, with good aligned heroes (Ravenloft powers checks otherwise), limited/no out of character, and a touch on the grittier side. I have 40+ years of xp as a GM but I'll be running this as an intro to role playing and an intro to D&D.
Game is 2024 rules only. Characters will be level 1 using standard array (15,14,13,12,10,8).
We will be using video as it greatly enhances the roleplay and will allow me to pick up on visual clues.
Beginners encouraged!

Please answer the following items (I will not chase down incomplete answers so those applications will be passed over):

If a seat becomes available in one of my ongoing games would you be available/interested?
Can you confirm that you can and will do video? Yes I can do video
How long have you been playing table-top RPGs? I played way back in the 80s.
What will your 2024 species, class, and subclass be? A Wood ELF Ranger
Briefly tell me a little about your hero in 2-3 sentences: Servantis is of Noble Birth. But is very humble in his dealings with others. He want's to be of help to others. He also loves to drink ale.
What will your hero's alignment be? Lawful Good
If a seat becomes available in one of my ongoing games would you be available/interested? Yes

"People have been going missing in the port city of Breault. At first it was occasionally, but now it is almost a nightly occurrence. Your heroes have been asked by the city council to investigate what is stalking the nights of Breault and put an end to it."
The game is first person role playing, with good aligned heroes, limited/no out of character, and a touch on the grittier side. I have 40+ years of xp as a GM but I'll be running this as an intro to role playing and an intro to D&D.
Game will be 5e and not using most 2024 rules as of yet. All previously published official WotC classes are available but the game only has the SRD loaded (so anything you don't have access to will need to be programmed into Roll20 before the start of the game). We are starting at level 1 using standard array (15,14,13,12,10,8; +2/+1 decoupled as per Tasha's).
We will be using video as it greatly enhances the roleplay and will allow me to pick up on visual clues.
Beginners encouraged!

Hello! I saw that you run one-shots from time to time. I've gotten into creating one-shots myself, and I have one I'm currently looking for reviews/feedback on. If you ever want to run a funny, role-play-heavy one-shot with some puzzles and minimal combat, just let me know and I'd be happy to email you the adventure.
