Ahoy, majestic adventurer! I am hoping to recruit two novice or semi-beginner players for our D&D introductory adventure. I am a friendly game master with over 4 years of experience. We have begun the campaign, but we suffered a player dropout. We have about five consistent, friendly players so far.
Please thoroughly read the interview questions below:
Player Experience & Age:
Age Requirement: Tailored exclusively for adults (20 years of age or older). Experience Level: Specifically seeking novices and semi-beginners. Pacing & Style: Highly beginner-friendly, utilizing slow, concise, and educational gameplay delivery. ------------------------------------------
Availability & Scheduling:
Schedule: Requires consistent availability on Friday or Saturday late afternoons CST (subject to shift based on group votes). Time Commitment: Ability to commit to sessions lasting between 2 and 5 hours. -----------------------------------------
Adventure Theme & Ruleset:
Campaign & Tone: A classical heroic fantasy aesthetic with PG-13 storytelling, featuring Dragons of Stormwreck Isle and Heroes of the Borderlands. System: Utilizes the updated D&D 2024 (5.5e) ruleset alongside select homebrew enhancements.
-----------------------------------------
Technical Requirements & Setup:
Communication: Discord access required, including participation in a digital private voice chatroom for the sessions. Character Building: Level 1 characters must be created using D&D Beyond. Maps & Combat: Gameplay utilizes the D&D Beyond Virtual Tabletop (VTT). Cost: 100% free to play, with absolutely no financial obligations.
------------------------------------------
Group Culture & Expectations:
Note to candidate: Table etiquette is our top priority to ensure a safe and wonderful environment for everyone.
Atmosphere: Active commitment to fostering kindness, respect, and fairness at the table. Inclusivity: A proudly 100% LGBTQ+ friendly space. Conduct: Zero tolerance for disrespect, hostility, or cheating.
Im kinda just getting into D&D, but kinda familiar with other wizards of the coast games like magic the gathering. i've played two D&D games and it was a blast though. If you can put up with the occasional dumb question, id totally be down to join the campaign!
