Hello! As the title indicates, we're a party of 3 with potentially a 4th looking for a GM who wants to run a fun first, well balanced game with a focus on epic and dynamic combat, and compelling role play with plenty of character/narrative progression. 2 of the players are basically complete newbies while myself and the potentially other player are veterans. For setting and vibe of the campaign we are absolutely open to many potential ideas and directions, though i would say we all have a preference for a more epic high fantasy theme/world. If all of this sounds like something you'd be down clown with, then please leave a reply with your experience and preference of setting and campaign style as well as if you have any other questions for us.Thank you all so much for your time, and we're looking forward to finding our GM to help craft and mold a world and story monumental fun and badassery we all wont soon forget!
hi! It sounds like I could be a good fit for this group. I have a lot of experience with 5e and GMing. I prioritize collaborative storytelling with my players, incorporating their backstories, and motivations into the main plot. I have a lot of experience with the combat, making fun encounters, and roleplaying. I’ve also helped several people learn the game. My main goal is to have everyone at the table engaged and having a good time. I’d like to run my own homebrew fantasy setting, but l want to be able to discuss your preferences before I decide the exact type of game I want to run.
That all sounds super awesome! Yeah I think we were planning on using the newest 5.5 edition although maybe we could do a mix of with 5.0 as well. What do you normally run your campaigns on? Just DNDBeyond? Or Roll20, or Foundry, or anything? I believe currently we were looking to run on DNDBeyond and Discord specifically. But I'd love to hear more about your homebrew setting as well as what rules you normally like to run with.
No problem I play 5.5 as well. DND beyond will work, my discord tag is joop252525. The setting is a pretty standard medieval fantasy, the land has a lot of magic and mysteries. I also have made a custom pantheon of gods. It’s pretty similar to ravenloft but open world. I’m usually reasonably loose with rules out of combat prioritizing roleplay. In combat I like to reward creative ideas and co-ordination between players. I mainly use milestone advancement. If that sounds interesting please reach out to me on discord.
