Rusty player looking to get into a long term campaign [Online][DnD 5e][LBTQIA+ Friendly][Flexible][EST]

Hi guys! I’m Anthony (18-25 ftm), an artist looking for an online high fantasy campaign to join. I'm more roleplay oriented and like a 70/30 split of roleplay to combat. I tend not to create very lore dense backgrounds, focusing on interesting character arcs/dilemmas instead. I love immersing myself in a world and getting invested in the plot, brainstorming interactions between my characters and the other players, etc. I’m looking for a group of friends to chat about my characters with and possibly hang out after sessions!

I haven’t played a proper game in years, so I’m a bit rusty when it comes to combat mechanics, but I have a good understanding of player etiquette.

I like campaigns with an overarching plot that can be influenced by player input to some extent, similar to a series of bus stops as opposed to a railroad/sandbox. I’m looking for a campaign where the plot is taken seriously and there are narrative stakes, with moments of levity sprinkled throughout. I'm okay with characters dying in reasonable circumstances/with narrative buildup.

Some dealbreakers:

• Explicit sexual content (romantic plot lines and fade to blacks are okay)

• Generative Ai to create art, maps, and writing, from both players and DM
