Hello! I am a brand new D&D storyteller who has fallen completely in love with worldbuilding, creating villains, and designing deep campaign mysteries. Because I live in a remote area, do not have a computer (I use my smartphone browser), and have an incredibly chaotic and unpredictable real-life schedule, traditional live sessions will not work for me.
I am looking for a small group of 2 to 3 patient players to start an Asynchronous Video D&D Campaign!
How it works: We will use a free, zero-download web video thread (like ZipMessage or browser-based video clips). I will post a 1-minute video setting the scene, and you will have a flexible 24-hour window to record your character's reaction and roll your physical dice on camera whenever your own schedule allows. It gives us real face-to-face interaction, expressions, and genuine human laughter without any calendar stress!
Important Note: I do not know all the D&D rules yet! I am looking for relaxed players who don't mind helping me navigate mechanics or double-checking rules as we go. You bring the rules patience, and I will bring the story!
The Campaign Setup:The story begins in a secret, bustling underground cavern tavern run by a gray-bearded dwarf named Thorgar. A legendary, 500-year-old cursed Tabaxi bard named Keko bursts down the stairs, carrying a wounded, wide-eyed anthropomorphic fox wizard named Fenaka who wears an oversized hat. Keko screams that they are being hunted by The Unarcane—a terrifying surface network of secret spies who hide in plain sight as normal citizens and flip matte-black iron eye coins to communicate.
The party will be tasked with protecting Fenaka and a set of cryptic, ancient notes that point straight down into the dangerous, glowing tunnels of The Underdark.
If you are an expressive roleplayer who loves deep story hooks, wants a flexible schedule, and is willing to help a beginner DM learn the ropes, please reply to this thread! Let's build an amazing story together!
