My current group never seems to be able to meet. I am currently looking to be a player
Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Face-to-face, open to occasional virtual when it makes sense
Experience: Intermediate
Location/Timezone: Philadelphia, PA (EST)
Availability: Saturdays or Sundays, time flexible; open to weeknights TBD; Looking for a consistent cadence.
Preferred role: Player
I'm a more recent player of DnD; been playing for a couple years. Looking for a group that would possibly rotate hosting locations or play in a more of a shared location like Queen & Rook, etc. Happy to use my 3d printer to help make minis as well!
Open to homebrew worlds and official settings. Would also be interested in a more unique homebrew like Pokemon, Star Wars, JJK, etc as well.
Excited to play with more experienced or start with a newer group!!
Previous group disbanded in April but living room in Bridesburg/Philly is still set up as gaming area. I have been looking for a chance to perform a 'soft reboot on the campaign that ran for 3 RL years.
It began as Greyhawk setting (in the Gnatmarsh) but the group travelled into Wildspace (custom Spelljammer setting) briefly before returning. I would prefer to have players willing to portray *HEROES* instead of opportunistic murder hobos. The characters went through changes in alignment, species and more while resolving their backstories.
We began using 5.0 but one player insisted on 5.5 so we ran a mix for a while. I as DM favor storytelling and common sense over pointless battles (which are brutal) and strict adherence to gameplay rules. For example, at one point three of the characters were falling through an area of sky over half a mile from the ground. By the rules, I should have just instantly splatted two of them (one had feather fall), instead, I estimated round by round how far they fell and how far to the bad guys. So, instead, a satisfying combat and rescue by their spelljammer.
Anyway, let me know if you still seek a group.
