New player looking for one shot

Hi there,

I am brand new to DND, but have long been interested and found myself around DND themes. Plenty of WoW min/maxing and fantasy novels etc.

I've done a bunch of research to try to get ready and not be a total fail. I think I understand a couple of classes pretty well, fight dynamics, roles, etc. I've been listening to live play DND podcasts for the past month to learn positioning and ability choices. I don't want to let anyone in the party down, and I think I've done the work to hold my own. I've created a Flame Giant Goliath Battle Master Fighter, Quorath, and have done enough research to have developed a backstory and family lines (tying in my WoW days, having cleared Ahn'Qiraj in classic WoW, he is of the Qiraji clan. His family line has battled carapaced swarms for generations). 

Anyway, I am keen to try my hand at a one shot. Happy to pay if that's how it works.

I live in Brisbane (AEDT) and have a busy schedule, but will be as flexible as I can.
