Free Campaig - Classic Fantasy - Longterm - Sundays - Homebrew

Hello everyone!

We recently lost two players at my table, and I'm looking for someone to take their place. We're currently level 8, and the campaign will gradually progress to probably around level 15, or perhaps even level 20, with the potential of a new campaign past that. We are currently a group of 4 players, plus me, the DM, but we aim to get back to 6 players as soon as possible. We're using Foundry VTT along with Discord (We have a private server) and D&D Beyond for the games. The Games are entirely anonymous and done through the voice chat (no web cams). All of this is at no cost to you whatsoever, and if it helps sweeten the deal, we have the sharing feature on D&D Beyond, so you will have access to a large pool of tools - also for free.

The only things you need to participate are a computer (that isn't falling apart) and a decent microphone for smoother understanding among players and me. If you can provide that and a good mood, all should be well.

The current game time is in the timeframe 1 PM to 4 PM UTC. The time can change by one hour based on daylight saving time. For those who don't know, UTC is a category of time zones similar to EST. Ideally, games will happen on Sundays, but if that doesn't work for everyone, the possibility of Saturdays can be explored. Please ensure that you can participate at these times and make sure to factor in the time zone difference of your location. If you have a somewhat flexible schedule, that too would be great. Each game session is expected to last around 3 hours, with one session each week. Some scheduled sessions aren't as stable as we'd like, but we usually manage 3 sessions a month. We've currently been playing on and off for 2 years and are still going strong, so if you are worried about the game ending abruptly, you'll be glad to know that we've kept the game going relatively well without too many interruptions. I expect the current campaign will go on for another year, two at the most.

We are in the age range of late teens to mid-twenties, and find that players in similar age groups tend to work better with us. Please keep that in mind. We welcome newcomers of the game and veterans alike. All we ask is that you are eager to play, committed to staying engaged, and are respectful towards the other members of the game.

You can also DM me if you'd prefer that to keep your ID hidden. For those who are not accustomed to Discord, the ID is the unique name you have to give yourself, which cannot be changed and is written under your username on your profile. It is the one I need to add you as a friend so we can talk on Discord, which is significantly smoother than threads.

"The Black Hand" is an adventure where you, the player, join a group of intrepid adventurers to explore the captivating homebrew fantasy world of the Lost Realms, with a specific focus on the nation of Reach. Your path in these realms involves undertaking quests and building your reputation as adventurers, all the while drawing nearer to the notorious mastermind and central villain of our tale, who goes by the chilling alias of "The Black Hand". The campaign is not to be mistaken for a mystery-focused one, though. Instead, it closely resembles the classic D&D experience, filled with all the cool and awesome elements you typically encounter in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, tough with certain elements of mystery sprinkled in. Get ready for epic battles against dragons, daring escapes from perilous dungeons, and, naturally, the tantalizing prospect of accumulating wealth and glory along the way. This journey is brimming with excitement and danger, guaranteed to draw you into its gripping narrative!

I would be absolutely honored to join your campaign! It sounds like a wonderful time, and I am really looking forward to it.

Just to give you a quick heads-up on my schedule, I’ve been invited to a local game on Saturdays from 2:00 - 5:00 PM EST, so Saturdays might be a bit tough for me, though I can try to make it work if needed. Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM EST work perfectly for me!

I also wanted to share that I’m 45 (turning 46 in October) and not supercomputer-savvy, so I might need a little extra guidance if we are using Foundry VTT. I hope the age difference isn't an issue at all—I certainly don't mind, though a few of my pop culture references might go over your heads! lol. As I mentioned before, I typically love playing a dwarf fighter since I'm so comfortable with it. If that works for your table, I’d love to stick with it, but I’m also completely open to learning a new race or class if you need me to. I just appreciate your patience while I learn, as I really want to be a great team player for the party.

On a personal note, I am disabled and live check-to-check, so I do occasionally take on side jobs. There might be a Sunday here or there where I need to miss a session to earn some extra cash, but I will absolutely always give you plenty of advance notice. On the plus side, I have a great, functioning computer setup complete with headphones and a mic ready to go!

Hii I've been searching for a campaign for ages and yours looks fun i'm elf druid 1 to 4 pm utc on Sundays works perfectly for me idk what else to say
