Hello dnd peoples, me and my bf decided to go into co-worldbuilding a homebrew universe for Spelljammer. And now that we're gotten enough established that we are looking for other players to join us! This campaign will have some medium amounts of cosmic horror in it, so be aware of that lol. Other than that though I like to make sure everyone is having a fun and safe time.
Lore wise I'll put a quick summary. The material plane as people know it is maintained and guarded by the mysterious Suns and their chosen Guardian Dragons who defend their respective planets and the plane as a whole from destruction brought about by invasions of other planes. Their goal of maintaining life on this plane is supported by the celestial plane who they maintain uneasy alliance with as the Gods exert their influence on the mortal kind. No one knows how the material plane came about or what the true nature of the Suns are, but life has continued on within and advanced to where we are now. The practice of Spelljamming, the exploration of the stars and other planets is a relatively young practice in the grand scheme of the universe only going back 800 years. Your characters live in an age of rapid advancement and discovery with many taking to the stars to find out the mysteries of the universe they inhabit, for wealth and opportunity, or to find their own way in life. But who knows what lurks in the discoveries you weren't supposed to make
Vibes wise things are kinda steampunk or Victorian in terms of architecture and technology, things like radios exist as do early flash camera's. A lot of tech is powered by magic of course. Some planets have more tech than others, some lean classic fantasy while others lean slightly more modern; it's a diverse universe. Of course things like swords and spells are commonly used and the ships still look how they do in normal Spelljammer for the most part. to paint a picture think like a mix between She-ra and Treasure planet. We have some premade planets for players to choose their origin from but players are allowed to come up with their own planet of origin or choose to be from an asteroid colony or on one of the moons.
Now we do have some stipulations. Firstly we do have a form to fill out, secondly we are looking mainly for fellow queer people. Me and my partner are T4T so some new queer and trans friends are always welcome. Thirdly we have an 18+ age requirement.
If you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comments or message me on here, and please fill out the form to actually sign up. Hope to have fun with yall soon :3
