About the Campaign
Set in Faerûn, high in the mountains of Damara, the campaign follows a long‑abandoned fief being reclaimed by a new lord. As the settlement struggles to rebuild in the harsh cold, ancient forces responsible for its fall centuries ago begin to stir again. The tone is adventurous, collaborative, and character‑driven, with plenty of room for players to influence the direction of the story. The world reacts to player choices, and the sandbox structure supports exploration, politics, mysteries, and deadly encounters. The players are the heroes here and at level 9 they are recognized by both friends and enemies as such.
This is a sandbox environment, not every threat can be resolved in a single encounter. Enemies may be defeated, driven off, or weakened, but not necessarily destroyed — meaning they can regroup, return, or continue to influence the world. The party may be given multiple threads and will need to decide which to prioritize.
Because we play every other week, leveling is slightly accelerated using Milestone leveling. Solo or downtime activities are often handled in a Discord channel between sessions to keep the main game focused and engaging.
About Our Group
We currently have four players, all 35+, and we keep things casual, friendly, and fun. We enjoy roleplaying but don’t expect anyone to be a voice actor — our RP is a mix of speaking in‑character and describing what our characters say or do. We joke around, keep the atmosphere light, and still dive into serious story moments when they matter. As a DM, I make sure no one sits idle for long, and the group shares that philosophy — everyone gets spotlight time and meaningful moments.
