Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online / D&D Beyond Maps Tool. And something to chat over. Open to occasional in-person if group is local Experience: Me: DM and Player for past six years / You: All welcome Location/Timezone: (Greater Vancouver / Pacific) Availability: Ideally every second week on a weekday (Ex. 'Every second Tuesday' or 'every second Wednesday'). Starting sometime in September Preferred role: Willing and able to DM or play. But would like to stick with one campaign / DM at a time Game style: Hoping to get a group together and choose a full-sized campaign (Strahd, Frostmaiden, Lost Mines etc) and bring a band of merry adventurers from humble beginnings, putting them through the absolute wringer, and ultimately triumphing over their collective and personal demons (or dying trying). All in service to making a great story. Experience level not an issue. I can drive the bus or I can ride shotgun. Or if you're a veteran I can just grab a seat and enjoy the ride.
What I'd like
- Players with positive vibes, regulated emotions, and a fun-first, respectful attitude (positive)
- Characters with flaws, hooks, investment in the game world and a little 'je ne sais quoi' to make them interesting (creative)
- I'm a professional family man. I'm looking to enjoy myself and have some laughs. Not to argue with strangers over why their Level 2 character has three feats ,or why they can't bring their homebrewed bazooka into Barovia. Looking for lots of Character drama and zero Player drama (mature)
- Ideally I'd like to pick a weekday together and play every second week. Something like 5-9 PM every second week. Weekends and working hours are out. Communication when late or unavailable. Just be excellent to each other (reliable)
Would love a local group, but the group vibe is more important. Not worried about age/sex/gender/background/D&D experience etc. Just looking for a group that gets along.
TLDR: Jovial, chill, Canadian gentleman with specks of grey looking for 4-5 online associates for long-term, collaborative, laugh-filled, goblin-slaying shenanigans on a west coast working man's schedule.
Oh hi! I think I might be a good fit for your group?! I'm a working guy myself in the Mountain Time Zone, so it's easy for me to work with Pacific Time. It would be my first online group, ive an in-person group I've played with for about 6 years, but we just don't play often enough to satisfy my DnD/roleplay itches. Nor do we get into enough of the character trauma/dramas and subsequent growth that I wanna enjoy. Im a cleric tried and true (every character ive played has been one or multiclassed with one). Anyways feel free to message me here or discord:resiris

Hey There, this would be perfect for me. I'd love to Play, and I think I'd fit into your putative group, the style seems like a great fit.

Hey both. Thanks for the replies. I'm out with fam all day but either late tonight or tomorrow I'll sort out a group chat.
Or if anyone's up to it, pls feel free to make a discord group for us four here and we can discuss logistics. I'm just away from phone today.
