Heya. We're looking for a couple of people to round out a Grim Hollow campaign starting in the coming months. We currently have three players, and are looking to pick up one or two more to join us.
# Table Info
We're aiming for a mid/late September start. Game nights will begin at 9pm EST GMT-4.
Our game is going to start out as a mini-adventure while we figure out our characters and dynamics. Eventually progressing into a sandbox-style campaign that will last around 18 months or some 60 sessions. Few things to keep in mind when considering this table:
1. This is a long-term commitment campaign. If you are unsure that you will be able to commit to this many sessions, this isn't the right table for you.
2. We will be using FoundryVTT as our tabletop, Discord to communicate. Both are free for players. No worries if you are unfamiliar, we will help you get up to speed.
3. Being that this is the Grim Hollow setting, the overall tone of this adventure will be darker and contain more mature themes (18+ only). Safety checklists go out to each player, but if dark themes and unsettling topics generally disturb you, this isn't the table for you.
If you are interested in joining our game, go ahead and drop a response to our form below! Once we get our seats nailed down, we will begin to discuss scheduling. If you have any questions, let me know!
# Setting Info
The sun no longer warms the land of Etharis; it hangs like a bruised, fading ember over a world forgotten by light. Centuries ago, the pantheon tore itself apart in the cataclysmic God End, leaving mortal prayers unanswered and the heavens utterly silent. In their absence, ancient curses bleed through the soil, plague-ridden fogs choke the valleys, and monstrous horrors claim the night. Humanity clings to survival in fractured, paranoid realms: a crumbling empire ruled by a mad emperor, a fog-bound fiefdom controlled by vampiric blood-lords, and fanatical inquisitions that burn arcanists to feed their holy fires. Magic itself is a unstable, corrupting force—fearful peasants will turn on spellcasters long before the beasts in the woods ever reach them.
This is not a world of shining knights and guaranteed triumphs. In Grim Hollow, survival demands compromise, and heroism is defined by how much of your soul you are willing to burn to keep the darkness at bay. As you travel through treacherous lands where trust is a rare commodity and death is a constant companion, you will face threats that standard steel and simple spells cannot overcome. To survive, you may be forced to yield to the very shadows you fight—undergoing terrifying transformations into vampires, liches, or lycanthropes, trading away your humanity for the brutal strength needed to endure another night.
Etharis doesn't need heroes who expect to save the world. It needs survivors willing to light a candle in the abyss, knowing full well the wind is coming to blow it out. Step into the twilight, sharpen your silver, and decide for yourself. Will you bleed to protect the frail embers of a dying continent, or will you embrace the corruption and become the nightmare others fear?
