[18+] Chains of The Starved [1/4] [Campaign] [D&D 5e]

**Chains of the Starved** takes place in the world of **Vael’Karuun**, a setting I have created over the past 3–4 years, beginning with my journey as a voice actor for fantasy settings. It is a dark, traumatic fantasy experience where the world is scarred by ancient forces and things that were never meant to be understood—or even seen. And the Gods? They are either silent or simply do not exist.

This campaign will be heavily homebrewed, featuring custom lore, creatures, mechanics (sanity and hunger being the core ones), factions, locations, and events designed specifically for Vael’Karuun. I want the players to feel like they are truly living in and influencing the world, rather than simply following a predetermined adventure.

I follow these specific “mantras” throughout the campaign:

1. EVERYTHING exists.Whatever it is, if I haven’t created it yet, you can help me create it.
2. EVERYTHING is possible. You simply need the means or the means to find a way.
3. EVERY action has a consequence. Whether good or bad depends on fate.
4. I’m not GOD; I’m merely the narrator. You are the ones who create the story.
5. RULE OF COOL is KING.

Expect a campaign focused heavily on roleplay, alongside equal parts exploration, mystery, character development, worldbuilding, combat, and uncovering the truth behind the world. Your characters will have their own stories, but their actions will also shape the world around them.

**DISCLAIMER:** This campaign will explore sensitive and potentially triggering topics. The experience is intentionally traumatic for the characters and is **not** intended to be light-hearted. It will confront difficult themes while exploring the beautiful chaos that is **Vael’Karuun**.
