Deep in the Aether-filled expanse of the galaxy exists a station that was formed from the collective wealth of various intergalactic corporations and tycoons with one sole purpose: to be a hot spot of profit and pleasure. From these desires, Station Auxiliary Utopia, or “Station A-U” as it is formally known and advertised, was born. As the station was built, these wealthy backers and their peers formed a coalition that acted as the governing body in this station to help keep order and peace while also lining their own pockets, evolving into the Gilded Ring, a conglomerate partnered with the Kuzai Syndicate that now dominates the station's operations. Soon people from all walks of life, all types of species and socioeconomic classes came pouring in to make a name for themselves amongst the four districts of Station A-U. Some found luck and fortune on their side, building lavish establishments to further develop the station, while those out of luck often find themselves leaving empty handed, or in some cases, building a new life within the station’s sprawling housing networks to not only earn back what they lost, but to be lucky enough to join the upper crust of the Station’s society in the center of the ring. As time went on and the population inside the station grew and disseparate cultures melded, it began to take on different names people use to reflect the den of gambling, crime, and highs and lows that come with it. The most popular ones being “Lady Luck’s Loop” or just “The Loop”.
You and your party come to The Loop as members of a bounty hunter group coming off of the biggest job you’ve ever done, looking for some well-deserved R&R and maybe hit it big as a bonus. As you and your party are raking in your riches and enjoying a bit of downtime, you are suddenly the prime suspects in a tragedy that befalls one of the main four casino barons that rules a territory within the station. Now you must make your way through the various districts while trying to avoid or fight Ring members and opportunistic mercenaries as you try to clear your names. Will Lady Luck be on your side as you gamble with your lives, and will you be lucky enough to escape from The Loop? Roll the dice and see for yourself.
Schedule: Weekly on Fridays at 7:00 pm CST | 3-3.5 hour sessions
Game style: I have been playing D&D for better part of 8 years now, with a background in DMing and homebrew creation for a good bit of those years. I strive to include all pillars of play into my game style, centering around three main tenets: a character/player driven story that encourages and rewards roleplay, combat that is impactful and part of the greater narrative, and a fleshed out world that encourages players to interact and live within it. I offer ways to make the players more immersed in the world such as voice acting, fitting ambient sound and music, as well as engaging and interesting mechanics during both roleplay and combat. I tend to focus on the idea of Rules as Intended with room for the Rule of Cool, and a tone in my games that will allow for comedic and dramatic moments. My games run $20 per session on StartPlaying.Games, with the Session 0 being free!
