Experience: New players welcome, although this game is particularly suited to players who enjoy roleplaying and character development.
Location/Timezone: UTC -4 (ET)
Schedule: Bi-weekly online sessions, approximately 3–4 hours. Wednesday 3-6PM (UTC-4).
Roles sought:1 Player — Druid
Game style: Character-driven high fantasy adventure with exploration, combat, mystery, and meaningful choices.
I'm looking for one final player to join a small playtest of Aletheora, a character-focused D&D experience.
The premise is straightforward: you don't arrive with a fully written character. We discover the character together.
Before the campaign begins, we'll have a short one-on-one character session where we'll establish who your character is, what matters to them, what they believe, and what they care about. You don't need a detailed backstory or a perfectly optimized build.
Then we play.
The adventure is designed so that your character's choices matter—and so that the situations they encounter can reveal things about them that neither of us necessarily knew going in.
The campaign itself is set in a high-fantasy world and begins with the exploration of an ancient citadel. There is mystery, danger, magic, monsters, and a larger story unfolding around the characters, but the characters themselves are the heart of the game.
I'm specifically looking for someone comfortable playing a Druid. You don't need to come in knowing exactly who this character is. That's part of what we'll discover together.
This is a playtest, but I'm not looking for players to evaluate a rules experiment. I'm testing a different approach to character creation and character-driven storytelling within D&D.
If the idea of discovering a character through play sounds more interesting than showing up with a 10-page backstory, I'd love to hear from you.
Please message me with a little about yourself as a player and what you enjoy most about D&D.
