Looking for a Group/Players for a Custom D&D One-Shot

Hey everyone!

I'm currently working toward becoming a professional DM and I'm looking for players who would be interested in joining a one-shot playtest.

THE PLAN...

I want to focus on custom-made adventures rather than just running a pre-written module.

Before the session, we'll have a short Discord voice call where I'll get to know everyone, talk about your characters, what kind of adventure you'd enjoy, things you'd like to see, and any boundaries or no-go topics. I'll take the notes myself and use them to build the one-shot around the group.

TECH STUFF

• Foundry VTT for the game
• Discord for voice
• Owlbear as a backup if needed
• Maps made by me using Dungeon Alchemist
• Your own character/token artwork is welcome

I'm based in Central Europe, but I'm happy to play with US players too. I'm mainly looking at Friday or weekend sessions, depending on everyone's availability.

AFTER THE SESSION

There is no charge for the session. In return, I'd really appreciate honest feedback about the story, roleplay, pacing, combat, etc. I'd also like to know what you think a session like this would reasonably be worth if I eventually offered it as a paid service.

I'm dyslexic, so I use spelling/grammar tools to clean up my writing. The actual adventure ideas, preparation, maps and DMing are my own. I may occasionally use AI-generated images for very specific locations or characters, but otherwise I use existing assets.

HOW TO JOIN

If you're interested, you can either:

• Leave your Discord username/tag in the comments, or
• Send me a message through D&D Beyond.

I'll contact interested players from there and add them on Discord so we can arrange the pre-session call.

I'd prefer an existing group, but individual players are welcome too and I'll see if I can put a group together.

Once I've found enough players, I'll leave a comment on this post saying that the player search is closed.
