hi i'd be interested in joining if you have any spots open, i like playing water genasi any class (minus wizard) and i like a lot of rp. let me know if you have any interest in letting me join and if you are could i know any possible play times
My name is Jay. I have been playing dnd 5e for 6 years now and pbp for 3 years. Est is my timezone. My hobbies/interests are playing dnd, playing videogames, drawing, reading, writing, and watching TV.
Roleplaying is my favorite part of dnd because it gives me an opportunity to escape reality and use my imagination to create a wide variety of characters while engaging in storytelling with other players in an entertaining fantasy environment with endless possibilities of how I choose to play a role in the plot.I am a player who is heavily into roleplay. I'll spend time out of sessions researching formulating how to make my characters more engaging and complex. I usually play very eccentric characters that possess a unique way of thinking that is hard to grasp. I also try to make creative backstories that provide context into the personality and motivations of my characters. I am very into psychology and philosophy so I am sure to incorporate that into my character creation. When I play I try to really make sure that my characters actions are believable and match what someone with their personality would do to make the game more immersive and enjoyable. I also make sure to choose my words wisely so that way they can leave a great impact on both the other players and the dm. That's why I'm interested in the post Apocalytpic campaign. Such setting is are very raw and visceral like in Fallout or Mad Max. I love post Apocalytpic stories because civilization has been destabilized and what is left of humanity regressed into into our more primal self as a result of the lawlessness. The world becomes survival of the fitness and the most fascinating aspect is not the zombies or monsters themselves but rather how this humanity descends into corruption and degeneracy as a means to adapt to their hellish lives.
I have always been interested in the arcane. Both my parents are esteemed professors and former adventures at the Blackthorn school of sorcery. I studied for years to become a wizard like my parents, however, I did not possess the capabilities necessary to become one. I was the subject of ridicule by my peers as I lacked the capacity to use magic. Heartbroken by my predicament, I had decided to drop out of sorcery school as I felt I was simply wasting my time. I continued my studies at home, but that was secondary to my studying to become a regular teacher. One day I received some sort of a magical cubic puzzle. It was seemingly a present from my Uncle Alder, a magical toy maker. It took me one whole month, as I managed to solve it. Suddenly, The box opened and revealed a portal that sucked me into another world. Before I realized it I was trapped in the Shadowfell. I was so afraid as I was lost in a foreign world that I knew little about. The Shadowfell was so dark, quiet and bleak. Also, there were many shadowy creatures that I had to run from for dear life. Until finally, I was nearly killed by a pack of shadow beasts. I was nearly killed by them, however, a group of magic users miraculously saved me. They took me to their temple, fed me and tended to my wounds. When I had woken up, I had discovered that I was in a temple of followers of the Raven Queen. They said that I could stay here as long as I liked and that the Raven Queen wished to speak to me. Through a magical hologram she had informed me that The magical puzzle box I had received was a cursed object, given to me by one of my parent’s enemies, meant to trap me here as revenge against my parents. My parents had found and killed the enemy but were unable to bring me back due to the conditions of the curse. The Raven Queen offered me a proposition saying that she would send me back home and even teach me to become a wizard if I made a pact with her, making her my patron. Otherwise, I would stay in Shadowfell forever, never seeing my family again. I immediately agreed to her terms and was taught and trained by her acolytes in the ways of her teachings. After ten years of training, I finally was ready to leave Shadowfell as I was off on my mission to defeat a great undead on the Raven Queen’s will.
