New and hopefully soon to be DM. Game is free (I have a good paying job) and doesn’t need an application/interview/audition (too time consuming and unnecessary).
None at all. As I said I’m a new DM and want a vanilla experience as I do not want people outsmarting me or taking advantage of me. Also, if you’re looking for Matt Mercer levels of GM skill or narration, you’re welcome to look elsewhere.

That is fine as long as you are aware that "vanilla" ≠ "safe". You cannot possibly account for everything single thing that players will do.
And you are right. Anyone expecting Matt's level of professionalism should really be looking elsewhere for their games. That should be fairly obvious.
Listen, I would expect people to go easy on a new DM. It wouldn’t be fun if veteran players just ganged up on me constantly. Maybe make a few purposeful mistakes or misplays at least…
Right. I would sincerely hope no one would try to bully you. I would also hope that you encourage unorthodox and creative solutions to problems and not think they are trying to "outsmart" you. That is probably a better way to phrase it. Sorry if my first comment came off too harsh.
I’m interested, but are you able to teach me as we go, as I haven’t played before, and will this be using discord, or standard d&d beyond app, and my hours are around 8am-7pm on weekends, and 7-8:40am in the morning, and around 3:30 to around 6:30pm in the afternoons on week days, due to school

How open are you to players using homebrew?
