I'm organizing a Discord group for a play-by-post Campaign for a small group of players. It will be a homebrew world with the following details below:

Sildegard is a world in the middle of its "Age of Exploration" with the development of magic powered engines and technology the push for discovery and charting new lands has been supercharged. Denizens of this world can traverse expanses of Sildegard's oceanic belt cutting through the waves in gargantuan steam powered ships and soar through the skies on airships propelled by magical engines. But with the discovery and exploration comes the desire to conquer and the bloodshed that ensues. While most conflicts are small groups clashing over ideologies or minor land disputes, some nations have turned to war for expanding their borders. In addition to the miracles of travel the boom of discovery also pushed further research into combustion and clockwork mechanisms fueling the war machines of Sildegard and creating startling new instruments of destruction such as repeating muskets and crank operated gatling guns. With such tools of war ready and available for those that can afford them combat on Sildegard has evolved to dangerous heights.

RULES and GUIDELINES:

Homebrew/Unearthed Arcana Races and Classes will not be accepted as well as Aarakocra. DM is flexible for flavor and style of your Character. For example: If you want your character to be an Imp, they will run under Tiefling stats with size small and movement of 25ft. 

EXCEPTION: Due to the setting of the world, Matt Mercer's "Gunslinger" will be the only accepted homebrew class.

Hey there Nitney! Your PbP campaign sounds great and I would love to be a part of it. 

• My name is Branden (most people call me Toro as it is my last name). I have been playing D&D for almost 10 years now. I started with 3.5, played a little bit of 4e, moved on to Pathfinder and then have been playing 5e for about a year now. In addition to D&D, a previous in person group that I was a part of also tested the waters of Dungeon World, 13th Age, and Star Wars. As for play by posts, I have only been in one that just recently started. I am still getting the hang of this type of play. (All previous experience was in person or online using roll20 and discord. 
• I am in the EST timezone with access to Discord almost all day (either on the computer or on my phone. 
• Regarding game-style I am pretty open to almost all types. I have played combat heavy styles in the past as well as almost all roleplaying and find that each have their own appeal. If a campaign has 50/50 RP/combat it is the best of both worlds :-P
• Excerpt Example: 
  • As Sinclair tiptoes down the hallway, following the footprints left by his half-orc brethren, he can't help but think that him and his party are about to walk into a trap. Speaking loud enough so that Godrich (the Human fighter) up front can hear him, Sinclair declares; "Everyone, we must stop. Something isn't right. While most half-orcs aren't very bright, there is no way they'd be dumb enough to leave these footprints for us to follow so easily." With a worried look on his face Sinclair breaks away from the back of the pack and hurries to stop Godrich up ahead. "Please Godrich, you must listen," Sinclair exclaims. "We are either walking into a trap or our enemies have outsmarted us or have circled back to escape. Either way we are in danger.

Siril is a teifling born of a human male and teifling woman to a small town he was plagued by a spirit that possessed him and forced him to kill his friends and family. He now travels around killing monsters for gold and searching for a way to get rid of this spirit.

Duhlac grew up in the Galena Mountains just outside of Damara. The son of a miner just, he grew up in a house hold with strict rules. The harsh winters were normal for Duhlac and oddly enough he enjoyed the climate. He joined the military and fought in a number of battles earning the rank of Officer. He was seriously wounded in one battle where a savage Duergar crew came up from the mines and were attacking a village outside of Damara. He received a large scar from a battle axe on his chest and occassionally has flashbacks to the moment where he almost lost his life. After Duhlac's father was killed in an accident in the mines, he decided life was too short and wanted to adventure the world. He completed his tour in the Damara Guard and started traveling and looking for adventure.

He also has various personality traits that I would exhibit during RP, and as stated above, I will not be playing this character for this campaign.

Hi, I am interested in this aswell.

1) I have no experience in playing pbp but have played dnd for almost a year. However I would like to learn to play pbp rpg.

2) The time zone I am in is CET (Amsterdam).

3) I have no specific playstyle because I havent experience many different ones. So I am fine with anything.

4) Tajax is a black dragonborn death cleric. He grew up in a small tribe of dragonborn where he was taught how to perform sacrifices to Tiamat. With this training he became the tribe's torturer and priest. The tribe usually took ostages from nearby villages for Tajax to sacrifice and one time the tribe took hostages from a village which was further away and was inhabited by elves. One of the hostages was an elf cleric of Bahamut. During the ceremony which the warriors of the tribe perform before sacrificing victims to Tiamat the elf started talking to Tajax. He told Tajax about Bahamut and how he cared for all. Tajax was interested and let the elf tell him more about Bahamut before eventually he had to sacrifice him, but Tajax did not instead he asked the tribe leader if he could go on a journey to 'learn more about Tiamat', which the leader accepted, but not before he sacrificed the elf and so Tajax did. Why tajax really asked to go on a journey was to learn more about bahamut and see if he could change his ways.
