Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: We're new, but we don't have a preference for your amount of experience! Location/Timezone: Two of us are on Eastern Standard Time (EST), while the last one is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Schedule: Friday/Saturday nights would be ideal, as we're all mostly still in school. Roles sought: DM Game style: Ideally, not something too dreary. As long as it's casual and fun; something we can crack jokes during! We might be new to the mechanics of D&D, but we have also been avid roleplayers for years, mostly in text, but that can (hopefully) translate over into the game.
Hi! Thanks for checking this out! My friends and I have been looking to play Dungeons & Dragons for a while, despite the fact that we're all rather inexperienced. One of us has played a one-shot once before, the other's experience I don't actually know, while I've been a fan of shows like The Adventure Zone and Critical Role for a while! I've recently bought the three core books, and I haven't been able to stop reading them.
Apologies if this doesn't fit the usual template of D&D Beyond posts, we're new to the site as well. You, our possible future DM, I would ask to be, at the very least, understanding. Someone who gets sour over accidentally misreading a rule or who has worlds filled to the brim with Fantasy Racism And/Or Sexism™ would not make the best fit for us. We're also all relatively young (15 - 20 range), so if that makes you uncomfortable, this isn't for you!
Any questions you might have can be submitted down below for answering, and (if it goes well) I will send you my discord username over private message.
Hi, I saw your post and was wondering what system for online play you planned to use, as well as if you guys had webcams/Mics. I am also a student and i am working, so i could do Sunday at any time. I am not an encyclopedia on the rules, but I would love to start a game with you guys! (I am on PST btw)
Thanks for the response! We're mostly accustomed to Discord, though if you're attached to Roll20, I'm sure we could give it a shot! We mainly prefer sticking to mics, even if we still have to get used to our actual voices rather than just text. If both of those sound good I'll get to talking with my friends and I'll see what I can do!
