Greetings prospective comrades! :)
We are a group of players, and DM‘s, with currently 3 active members and 2 on hiatus. We want to play but want to play in a bigger group, so we are looking for additions to our flock.
I am DMing at the moment. But since my time is limited due to family responsibilities and work, we are looking for players to join us, who are also willing to DM some time, preferably a campaign that can run in parallel, so we can switch every once in a while.
We are looking for group members, who value fun over rule discussions and are happy with a heavy focus on roleplay.
If you are interested, be sure to write me, ideally with a small introduction of yourself, where you live, what your roleplaying background is, and anything else you‘d like to share with us. We are looking for a lasting relationship as a group who enjoys playing together. If you do too, we‘ll probably enjoy awesome D&D moments together. :)
Stay turnt!
Questions that came up:
Of course we speak English. It’s not everyone’s native language but we‘re okay. ;)
We‘re playing using video chat. I prefer video via Discord or/and Google Hangouts. One of our players, who also DMs used Roll20.
Homebrew is at the discretions of every DM. We are all open for homebrew stuff, as long as it doesn’t screw with the flow and power levels. I allow it in my campaign. Same with Unearthed Arcana.
We always play in the evening (around 21:00 CET/20:00GMT). We try weekends but have played weekdays as well. Most of us work regular jobs, some have families with children. We‘re not super flexible with day times, but days can vary.
I'm Meg, and I'm really new to playing D&D, but not the lore. I'm pretty familiar with the Lore as my best friend is obsessed and we did a lot of RP writing in the D&D universe. I'm 29, and I've been writing since I was 11 years old, and roleplaying since I was 13. I'm currently a librarian getting a MFA in Creative Writing.
I'm trying to find a group that wouldn't mind a novice to the mechanics of a game, that is comfortable roleplaying. I pick things up quick, but I'm from SC, which is Eastern time. Do you guys have a particular day you like to play? And if so, what time?
Hi! I am interested however if have absolutely zero experience. I understand if that is a problem. I'm Kinsey, a student at Mount Holyoke College. I love board games and helped my friend run a larp club when I was in high school. I live east coast, but I have quite a lot of availability. As long as people are patient and would be willing to help, I would love to be able to be a part of this group. Thank you :)
Hello I am Turbo I have played 3.5e for a while and just got into 5e i am still learning the new rules but was playing with a join for a while before it just stopped I have never ran a group before but I have played and get into character when I play.
Hi all, and thanks for your replies and interest so far.
Please keep in mind that we play our games in video sessions and because of that, we need to know how you can manage to cope with our Central European Time. We usually have to play at evenings (CET).
Regarding homebrew, that’s at the DM‘s discretion. As a group, we’re open to it as long as it doesn’t screw up the game. Personally, when I‘m the DM, I decide case by case.
Hey, I saw your post I'm in a podcast on Sundays but I've needed some more time in the dungeons hoping I could get my goblin killing fix here lol. I have never DM'd but id love to try and as for experience I'm still learning but I have all the basics down pat. My discord is spaceman0328#4020 if your still looking let me know I live in new york and I'm usually up late at night. Hope the search for new players is going well.
I should I currently got a new job but as long as it sticks to a weekend I should be fine just not Sundays with my podcast and all. Once I get a definite schedule I could let you know for sure what dates I'm free. If that can't work out I understand Time zones are a hell of a thing lol and I hope things go well for you guys.
Hi, I'm Ethan from Sweden and my friend Kita and I are very interested in your group!
I'm 21, have been involved with d&d for almost 2 years and played regularly for pretty much the whole time. My time zone is CET and even though I'm Swedish and English isn't my first language, I consider myself fluent in it. I'm currently working as a fill-in which means tailoring my work times around regularly scheduled sessions is no issue. I enjoy playing but I like DMing just as much and am currently on a hiatus with a homebrew campaign I'm running in which Kita is a player. I’m also an artist who sometimes likes to sketch characters and I always draw my own battlemats and world maps. Currently I don’t own a webcam but it would be no issue acquiring one.
Kita is 23 and from England but currently living in France (same timezone as me), working part time with evenings and weekends free. They have been playing d&d for about a year and we've both played long running campaigns together, so the basics are definitely down. Kita has never DMed before but would be willing to try with a group that would be patient with them. We both really enjoy the role playing aspect of d&d, and are looking for a group that’s a bit more comfortable with character building and developing interactions, though we do very much enjoy combat and the other elements as well.
Hey! I’m a European (Denmark) with limited experience, I’ve played once, but I’d really like to learn! I’m pretty much available all days of the week since I don’t have work or school, but I do sometimes volunteer on Wednesday’s. I’m turning 20 in less than a month
I'm Nym. I'm from Sweden and I'm pretty new to the game. With pretty new it basically means I've just gotten my hands on the player's handbook, made a character to figure some things out and I've listen to a few episodes of Critical Role. Uhm, I'm 27 as of tomorrow and got a full time job.
I was about to join another group but the time zones made it slightly impossible to work out so I'm interested in this group. I can probably do your session times, tho weekdays (mon-thu) I'll be hardpressed to make it very late as I get up at 4:30. I can start at 21 CET but I can not do a three hour sessions those days. (Yay for being adult with full time job that requires commuting!)
I got some other experience with rping and to some extent leading the rp. It however differs from D&D as it was a textbased, homebrewed, no real system and cooperative rp where we basically took turns leading the story. With that said, when I get some more experience with the game and the rules most of all, I'll be looking into becoming a DM. It sounds quite fun =)
If you got any other questions, please hit me up. I probably forgot to mention something... like the fact I own a webcam and can do both hangouts/discord/other thing as long as it's free to use. Also, I do not mind at all getting into the roleplay. =)
Ben from England here. I am getting back into D&D having played 2nd Ed at school, but nothing since. I have recently got the kids into playing board games, to break them away from their tablets, and am hoping to get them into some D&D soon, with me handling the DM side of things.
Looking to start playing a bit more myself in advance of that, but have the usual work/life time constraints. 21:00 ish CET is usually a good time for me, but not necessarily always XD.
I am pretty good on mechanics and can handle a reasonable level of RP, excluding accents! Would be interested in possibly playing, and have discord / webcam etc.
Interested in joining, the name’s Corey, and being in EST 9pm CET works well for me given it’s relatively far ahead and work night shift so could easily fit in a session beforehand.
I’ve been playing with a group from work doing a tabletop version over the last few months but have read through the majority of the playbooks and understand comfortably most of the game.
Have wanted to try an online version as it definitely seems doable through some streams I’ve watched and like the idea of being more flexible in terms of creativity when not restricted by squares.
My discord is SMDCard#1689 if you preferred contacting on there, either way would be cool to find a group to fill the gaps between my tabletop sessions :)

Hey, I'm looking for a dnd group and saw your dnd beyond ad and thought 'can I join?' So I'm asking that exact question. Also, do you accept homebrew?

You still didn’t say which timezone you’re in and what we would have to deal with. ^^
EST (UTC - 5:00) sorry I probably was thinking faster then I could type and it would be a full time job if that's what you mean.
We‘re still looking for players, especially from Europe. I also updated the top post with answers to some of the questions that came so far. :)
