Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New Roles sought: Players: 4
Welcome will-be adventurers! I’m looking to run the Lost Mine of Phandelver module by way of PbP (Play by Post)
A little bit of information about the game:
I’m planning to run the module fairly as-is with only a few minor embellishments. If you’re looking for something more sandboxy, then this might not be for you.
We will be using DnD Beyond to generate character sheets and Avrae (Discord Bot) to run the game. (Experience with either is not necessary)
The party will be comprised of 4 players.
You will be required to make a minimum of one post within a 24 hour period. However, posting more is encouraged and if schedules align we may arrange on-the-fly live posting sessions.
Players will begin at level 1.
Only official content will be allowed with some restrictions and exceptions.
Player requirements:
The game will be geared towards introducing the world of D&D to new players and giving them a chance to start somewhere. For this reason, I’m looking for players with little to no practical experience but a workable knowledge of the basic rules.
While we might be running a module, I would like players who are willing to put the effort into roleplaying their characters (see heavy RP). Descriptive and eloquent posts are a must.
Age 20-30.
Information about the DM:
This will be my foray into DMing. I have a couple hundred hours of experience with both voice and play by post from the aspect of a player and hope that I’ll be able to provide an enjoyable game for all. I look forward to learning with you!

Hi, im Dan, im 31 (I know im a year out). I live in the UK but due to work and other commitments, a schedule as to what time im online each day is very hit and miss, but i try to be one when i can.
I am a D&D virgin!I have a general grasp of the rules, but wish to gain some actual experience playing before i start DMing/playing with friends and family, and believe PbP would be the best and safest option!
Hello; I am Rucin, age 27. I have participated in a few short-lived campaigns, finding it most comfortable to participate online. I find it very enjoyable to play, and interesting how different DMs have run the rules so far; but would most hope for a centering experience. all said across the two characters in three campaigns I have now had maybe....60 hours of play time? I recall most of the player's handbook, but can understand that it's not always the sole arbiter of what goes. I would love to be a part of this.
Hello, I am Chris, Age 26. I am new to dnd but, having watched almost all of Critical Role, I would love to participate in a game instead of watching others play. My work schedule is rather taxing so i have not had a chance to find a group. I would love to join in! Let me know times and restrictions.
I'm interested in joining however the character I had on stand by is the treant from Jotungard. He's a lvl 1 druid. Obviously, treant isn't a race available on dnd beyond but I'm semi familiar with avrae which can read gsheets which is what the character is typed up on. Age 24, if you can work with me on the treant please pm me on discord. (It's not that I don't want to make a character on dnd beyond but a lot of the content is limited as I don't own any books on it. Also I'm really excited about the treant...) As far as experience lvl goes I've been actively doing dnd pbp for about a month (we'd do a whole quest at once over an 5-8 hour span 2-3 quest a week) and pbp rp I've been doing since 2011.
I may not be what you're looking for, but I'll post my application here anyway, just in case. My name is William, and I'm 22. I've been writing characters and stories set in d&d worlds for a couple years, but I didn't start playing until July of this year when I found this website and met my current group on this very forum. So, I have about 5 months of experience with online voice games, but no experience with PbP. My interest in that mode is that I tend to be shy in person, so roleplaying over voice is difficult for me as I often tend to let other people talk over me, and never feel that I have a chance to get my voice in. I also prefer writing over speaking; I'm definitely a writer rather than an actor. So, I feel a lot more comfortable roleplaying via posts rather than over voice. Therefore, I'm hoping to try this out and hopefully bring life to one of my characters rather than just having a silent protagonist who only has a voice inside my head.
I am fairly familiar with the rules, being the bookish type that I am and having read through the PH, MM, and various other 5E books, mostly for the lore about the worlds, but also for the rules and how to play. I have various character ideas that I would like to run with; some that are a little homebrew, but not too much so, which I will run by you beforehand to make sure you will allow it. Otherwise, I can come up with one using nothing but official content fairly easily as well. Let me know if you would consider letting me be part of your game!
