Experience: All experience levels welcome. I, myself, am a relatively new DM who is 103% guaranteed to make mistakes.
Location/Timezone: I am in EST, but you don't have to be.
Schedule: TBD pending player availability. Games will be weekly and run for 4-5 hours, including breaks.
Roles sought: Players. Multiple for oneshots; campaign will be 4 to 6 PCs.
Game style: Roleplay-centric with a semi-casual feel. Combat where appropriate - average 1-2 combat encounters per session, but some may have more while others may have none.

Good morning! (3:28 4:20am totally counts as morning, don't you judge me.) I'm Stranger, and I'm looking to run a couple of oneshots within the universe of my homebrew campaign known simply as Elsewhere. In addition, I may start a second campaign running parallel with my first, in which both games will impact the other and may, at times, overlap.

What we're looking for is diversity and patience, as I am looking to host a safe and friendly table. I deeply thank all allies and open-minded individuals, you are very much appreciated! However, for now, I am specifically looking to run for those whom may have difficulty finding a table at which they can feel comfortable, welcome, and safe due to reasons which may include, but are definitely not limited to, gender and/or gender identity, physical or mental disability, accessibility, minority status. That said, we are a group of adults and wish to keep it that way, hence the requirement that players be 18 or older. The games are SFW, but the age req is simply our preference.

Please note that I do not recruit long-term campaign members who have not played at least one oneshot, as I need to get to know potential players to gauge the fit both with me as the DM and with potential fellow players. If it seems like a lot of effort, that's because I wish to weed out those who would not be serious about committing to the campaign due to how much time and energy I pour into my universe.

I am known by several namesakes. While here, I am Jarathane (Jara is fine), I am also known as CyanInTheSky (Cyan) and ArtemisQuiver (Artemis) on other platforms. I am an ace transgender woman who prefers she/her pronouns. I will gladly share my discord privately after a follow up response.

For character concepts, I have many. Though most of them are fleshed out, I suppose I could drop one of them to a commoner for the sake of development. Shanailla is probably the better concept to do this with. She's a wood elf who lost her home to an aberration invasion and was taken into the fold with a group of bandits. She is solely kept in the camp to cook, clean and stitch up clothing and armor. (In depth later on, the Bandit leader dies and she inherits his bow, and she takes the path of a ranger. But yeah... no class or background, so..).

My fleshed out concept is Raika Norixius, a dragonborn Noble Fighter on the path of the Eldritch Knight. She's essentially a bastion of steel, suited up in armor and withstanding the harshest blows in the frontline. She's a transgender concept that was given a pendant to essentially change her male born form to that of a female dragonborn. But no one knows that she was originally the male noble besides her parents. Her parents announce their son was killed by an assassin, but that he had a secret twin sister they kept in hiding so that if one heir was lost, the other had a higher likelihood of survival. Her fear is that if the secret gets out, it will condemn her family to public scrutiny.

As a note, I can not do a campaign on Saturday or Sunday. I am already DMing a session on Sundays and I can't clear work availability on multiple days for a weekend without losing work hours and ticking off my managers.

I usually draw up characters for the people I Dm for around school for the D&D club I started, but for My commoner I would probably go with my character, Robby Rottentooth, A common man who has a nack for a sweet treat and a big addiction to choclate. He's a pestering fellow who seems to talk to much while his mouth is being smashed full with different candies. (Also yes the name is most definitely a play of Lazy Town, RIP) More of that character can be explored by the DM as needed :D

My level 3 would be the trust Halfling, Tasselhoff Burfoot, an aspiring Druid who's only goal is to explore the entire world around him mapping his adventure out as he goes. He loves wildlife and is a nack for making up slogans and catchphrases he can throw out in the heat of battle! A quirky fellow who never seems to know where he stands in situations and usually just likes to make a good laugh out of them.

Howdy I'm Kronos, I am a twenty something male and I have Muscular Dystrophy. I use a wheelchair to get around in and I use a breathing mask so I sound like I have a stuffed nose all the time. I played dnd in highschool but it has been an age, because of my health it has been difficult to find a party IRL but I would love to play in a inclusive group like this one. I would like to confer with the DM on what type of character I roll but I got some ideas. For the commoner though I will choose Bam Fizzlespark a lvl 0 Gnome with a full beard and mustache that come to short points and a pair of thick coke-bottle aviation goggles that mysteriously have never been removed. And then if I can, my main would be, Wakes at Sunrise or "Sunny" too her friends. She is a 23 year old Tabaxi, with a thirst for adventure and a natural curiosity for how things work. But like the tale goes sometimes curiosity can get you in a lot of trouble. I was thinking a rogue or monk.

Level 0 Commoner: Dinkles the Half-elf Chef! He has a "Stew Store" that's known for amazing Stews! He has shaggy blonde hair and a goatee, always wears his trusty bandana when in the kitchen.

Level 3: Khalida "Khaa" Thana, a young Tiefling Druid! She has tawny red skin and long straight, white hair. (I have her very fleshed out but I will keep it short!) Born into a middle class family in the city of Driomos, Khalida had two loving parents. Ophelia your typical housewife, and Her father, Rodwig, whom was a respected member of the city council but was never really noticed, despite being a tiefling. Growing up in the city always felt wrong to Khaa. Nature called to her. In secret she would run into the forest that surrounded the city and practice whatever she could find in books about druids. As the years past her father decided to go for a higher office in the city. Which put Khaa’s secret adventures to an abrupt halt, as crowns guard where always around her. She was informed to stop studying the Druid way. Instead she decided to go and prove to herself and her family that she doesn’t need them. She can be a powerful Druid. She can make a difference.

Level 0 Commoner: Odd a Half-Drow a mail courier in the city, she'll take on pretty much any job if there's good coin to be had. Most of her deliveries she makes are above board, but Odd knows better than to ask too many questions about the ones that seem like they are less than reputable. When she can find time, you'll see her hanging around old adventurers at taverns, and tap houses, hoping for a bit more story to carry with her on her long days delivering across the city.

Level 3: Ariadne the Grand, an Aasmir Paladin, who believes that love is force the moves us to greatness. A love of friends, and family can touch even those with the blackest hearts.  It's something she feels in the core of her being, and she will wax poetic for hours if given a chance on all the great poems, and songs written on the subject of how love can transform almost anyone. She's easy to spot in a crowd, as she tends to charm people with her easy manner. Though don't mistake her romantic notions for idiocy, true she has been known cause some controversy with her choice of ballad, or that time she licked a loaf of fresh bread from the bakers store before purchasing it,  but she is at heart a thinker though not many realize this until it's too late for them to retreat from her scathing rebukes.

Level 0 Commoner: Poor half-elf, that eagerly works every day, so he could keep his family going. He is old, a little grumpy, but mostly soft and kind to others. He always greets a man with a smile. But underneath his heart lies the biggest pain of all - his son died to bandits, since then he had no children... But still there is hope, for he took a poor girl with his wife into his family. There are still thing, that need to be done)

Level 3: Rasettra Ahmonatun, Human Warlock. His story began simple, a young man from a good salesman family. Since his childhood he had more things then others, but as he lived in a cruel country his fate was sealed. He was brought to gladiators arenas to watch people kill each other for entertainment. He ran from wars, where nobles killed people for power. He saw his own parents murdered for wealth. But it was not fear to be born, oh no. It was hatred towards death itself. And as it grew, a rotting plague of one single desire appeared. Immortality became an obsession for Rasettra, and powers of beyond got interested in him. One day, he heard a voice, calling for him from the desert. He ventured straight into the dunes. There he found his destiny and master both. He was given a task to unrevel mysteries and search power to please his master for a promised prize of immortality. And so the path was clear, do what has to be done, slay those that must be slain... It is ironic, that if you want escape death, you must dring it. And even with his soul already fading away into oblivion, something good still resided. A conflict arose between Rasettras humanity and masters will. Choices will defy this wandering man, and he may find wisdom and save his soul, or fall into oblivion and reap his desired immortality from the clutches of others

I'm in the PNW so PST but i work from home and choose my hours so I'm rather flexible as far as it comes to scheduling sessions. 2-4ish hours a session works fine by me.
