Hey everyone, fairly new to DnD 5e after loving BG3. I've started as a DM for a few friends running DoIP, but our schedules aren't aligning as often as we'd like! I'm working on a homebrew setting for my group's next adventure which I'd potentially be happy to start with a new group. Preferably though, I'd be joining an in-person group as a player. For what it's worth, I've listened to a fair bit of CR (C2, EXU:C) and Dimension 20 (ACoC). Also looked at a lot of Matt Colville stuff. Will not hold any DM to Matt Mercer or BLeeM's standards, don't worry.
Game: DnD 5e
Group type: In person
Experience: Newish
Location: Melbourne - eastern suburbs preferred
Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, weeknights potentially
Preferred role: Player, but open to DM
Game style: Strong roleplaying, with a healthy mix of intrapersonal and interpersonal focus for storytelling purposes. Like Felixiv said, taking the world seriously (but occasionally not too seriously). Keen for dangerous combat as well, I want my long rests to be well earned! Ideally a long-term table, but open to all offers.
Hey all, I'm brand new to playing DND and was looking for a game I can jump into. I've been learning and reading as much as I can about it and have an rough idea on the rules and how to play but nothing beats experience. I am up for anything really but I have made a homebrew character and with permission, would love to try and bring it to life.
I am a bit of a social outcast so I'm also hoping to open up a bit more and feel like this would be the best place to start.
I'm in Queensland and can probably make any timeframe work.
Hey I'm interested in being another player to join a group. Happy to play a one shot or campaign I don't mind. Ive only played for a year and I have not had a go outside of being the dm. My friends refuse to give dming a go. So it would be nice to experience the game from a players perspective for a change. Private message me and then we can discuss more there
Game: DnD 5e
Group type: In peron or online
Experience: New (1 year experience)
Location: Melbourne - preferably eastern suburbs
Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays after 8.30pm or I'm flexible with Monday - Thursday
Preferred role: Player
Game style: I'm open to having a rich roleplay experience with well developed characters that are heavily integrated within the story. This is of course a lot of work on everyone's part however. So I'm also open to a usual mix of a roleplay and combat focus experience.
LFP - looking for 1 player in Adelaide, South Australia, to join a new OSE campaign, in Northern suburbs. It is a face to face game.
We are a group of 4 players and myself as the DM. A mix 50/50 m/f all 25+, most 35+. Mixed levels of experience with d&d & 0se.
Looking for a mature person with a chilled out attitude to round out our group. Experience with ose , b/x, or becmi is not required but advantageous.
Group rules.
1. Be respectful of each other.
2. Respect the dice
3. Everyone chips in $5 for snacks, drinks and a small bit toward dm expenses.
4. No SA, no sexual content and no torture, and generally if it gets creepy or uncomfortable we will hand wave past that shit & talk about it after to prevent repeats.
5. Have fun, be adventurous and creative.
We meet every 2nd Saturday night 7pm onwards usually 3 to 4 hours.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online, face to face if possible. Experience: Played 3.5e in the 1990s, and 5e the past 10 years intermittently Location/Timezone: Broome, +8GMT Availability: Preferably late evenings 9pm to midnight (+8GMT) Preferred role: Player Game style: I generally play CN/CG characters which best fit my personality. I usually seek alternate or unusual solutions to situations and avoid fighting when possible. This may mean I may do unusual things which may seem odd but have a plan behind them, this may mean i ask apparently innocuous questions about the environment to use to my advantage. I am fine with roleplay if the rest of the group is, but am adaptable. I very much like lore and realistic settings that include realistic politics, economics, religion, and culture. I am fine in any world setting, Faerun or not and am willing to adapt my character backstory to fit the world that is being used.
Game/Setting: I have options. D&D3.5/PF1e, PF 2e RM, D&D 5e, Shadowrun 3e, CyberPunk Red, Worlds/Stars Without Number, Traveller (MG2e).
Number of Players: 4-5
Outline: Looking for anyone (18+) who is willing to take turns in DMing and Playing. Don't worry of you have no experience in DM or if you have heaps of experience. As long as your willing to have a go. Message me and we can work out a more detailed plan. I don't mind running the first few sessions.
Hope to set up meet and greet Saturday 26th April 2024. Work out what game system, setting and roster. Session 0 Saturday 4th May (Star Wars day).
