I am a long time D&D player. I have been playing this game since the first hard cover rule books came out. I am interested in being a part of your campaign. I have a roll 20 account and have some experience playing on that platform. I hope you will consider my application.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Played a few sessions a couple months ago in Discord, would be new to Roll20. Location/Timezone: Texas Central Standard Time Availability: Saturdays are perfect for me, should have no issue making sessions. Preferred Role: I tend to lean towards spellcaster classes, and based on the starting premise have some potential ideas for either a Paladin or Druid. Game style: Appreciate roleplay and as much combat as you want to throw at me.
I am largely new to playing D&D - most of my mechanical understanding of the game comes from listening to Critical Role - but I'm confident in myself with how smoothly the few sessions I have played went.
Hey! I am an avid player and me and my friend, who's still new at the game, are looking for a game that we can play in together and this one sounds awesome! We are both in PST, but that shouldn't be a problem with the schedule. We would love to join your game if there's still room available!
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: I’m a little new still, I found people to make a group with, and we meet once a week since the beginning of February Location/Timezone: Canada CST Availability: Saturday 9:00 pm works stunningly Preferred role: Player, willing to play barbarian or bard preferably, but anything works really Game style: Casual game with jokes and a little Roleplay
I’ve never used Roll20, I didn’t know it existed until a few minutes ago 😅
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: A few years Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Saturdays at 9 p.m. works great! Preferred role: Player, I've got a few different characters rolled up depending on what the group needs but I usually prefer to play a fighter-y type. Game style: Pretty casual and roleplay-focused.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: I recently started playing with a group of friends, but our campaign is too infrequent and sessions are too short for me (Less than 1 hour). Since then, I have dug into the rulebooks and critical role. I'm definitely new, but not so new you have to explain how to roll a dice. Location/Timezone: MST Availability: Between 6 PM to 11 PM on weekends. Preferred role: Player, willing to play any caster or half caster. Game style: Really anything. I'm new to roleplaying, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
Hey guys! Pleased to see how any people are interested in this game. Just a quick reminder that you'll need to actually submit an application to the Applications Threadin order to be considered for the game.
Got room for a Ranger? Time Zone: EST (i'm on the east coast of Florida).
Edit: I should mention that I tend to be a lore hound and try to write backstories that may have in-game consequences, which means fitting the backstory in with the setting of a given game.
Hi, I am all around new to DND. I was planning to play with friends but that didn't end up happening so I have a character made if you would let me use her, I would just have to check a few things with over with you. I can be kinda of a dork so I might need a bit of help here and there.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New to D&D Location/Timezone: New Zealand (NZDT) Availability: Totally free for the time you suggested (9pm Saturday)! Preferred role: I don't mind at all! I just want to get out there and try something. I'd be super excited to begin a campaign with you, It sounds awesome! I totally get it if you're full, it sounds exciting!
Hi! I am really new to the DnD world and only had a few sessions with a local DM. I am really interested in joining if there is still room. If possible as new characters go I am interested in starting as a dragonborn but am open to whatever the campaign is doing. I hope to hear back and thanks for your consideration!
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New Location/Timezone: (Kentucky/central) Availability: (after 6pm) Preferred role:Player Game style: (any, learning everything at this point is what I would like to do and its fun to play as well).
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Expierenced PC, Newish to Roll20 Location/Timezone: (Washington/PST) Availability: Weekdays 8am-5pm PST Preferred role: Caster/Utility Game style:
Hey! I've been playing 5e for a few years. I have played in numerous campaigns and one-shots, many low level and most high level. My preferred Player Level is between 7-8+. I would rather skip T1 or T2 all together and play most of the campaign at 10 and higher. If I had a preference of playstyle based on the 3 pillars in the PHB, it would be 40% Combat, 30% Exploration, 30% RP. My playstyle depends on the party and the PC I roll up, but I prefer a slightly grittier game with a chance of death.
I have DM'd 2 or 3 long (20 session) campaigns and am currently running a 12+ player Westmarch game with a few variant rules for a gaming community in Washington. I want to join to learn Roll20 and tabletop sim, and give my DM brain a break and play a fun PC. I am knowledgeable and know the game well, but am by no means a rules lawyer or Powergamer. Its your game and your world, I just want to have some fun and be part of a cool story.
Hello everyone, and thank you for your patience. I'm pleased to announce that I've decided on who will make up the final party for the upcoming campaign.
Our lucky winners are:
Wildcard T., playing as Zoll the orc fighter
Krillix, playing as Lissandra Shrilin the drow wizard
Goat, playing as Sweet Violet the warforged skirmisher rogue
Kira M., playing as Azalea Moonbloom, female alraune ranger
Jester G., playing as Eldris Holl the fire genasi bard
Those of you who have been chosen to join the party are cordially invited to the Heroes of Men & Monsters discord channel. Please let me know the best way to contact you, and the link to said channel will be PM'd to you shortly. Looking forward to chatting with all you guys soon. :)
With the final party members chosen, I will be scheduling a Session 0 for next Saturday, the 13th of April, after which the campaign will be starting for real on the 20th at 9:00PM (Canada EDT).
It was a very difficult decision to chose only five out of the three pages worth of applicants, and I apologize to all of you who didn't make the cut. As a consolation prize however, if there are any of you who would like to be placed on a wait list for future consideration, just in case somebody drops out later on, then please use this thread to let me know so I can reach out to you at a later time.
Thank you so much to every single person who expressed interest in Tales of Faerûn: Heroes of Men & Monsters, and for all of you who were not chosen, I wish you the best of luck in your future D&D endeavors.
