Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Using Table Top Simulator and Discord) Experience: Any Location/Timezone: Ireland. GMT Schedule: Flexible but most likely evenings (Irish time) Roles sought: DM Game style: open to any play style. (Except killing absolutely everything we come into contact with)
Hi;
if your reading this then the above got you interested! :)
Basically last november I setup two groups to play D&D 5E over Tabletop simulator and discord.
to this day one of the two groups is still going strong. however the group I was involved in fell apart due to lack of real interest from two party members and the DM left.
I have ammased a group of 5-6 New Adventurers to fill the team (All of different Experiance to D&D) and need a DM to get the first group going again (starting fresh not rebooting an old campaign)
players: Preferably of age 20+ or at least over 18 if mature
my aim is to have one session weekly on a day that suits all for as long as suits.
I've no problem with different time zones so long as yous can make the allocated time. (TBC)
myself; I'm relatively new (5 hours or so playtime.) Although I've played a couple of sessions before; and have also watched Bill Allens D&D with Highschool students series's on youtube.
I would be open to Homebrew worlds or set campaigns anything to get the dice rolling . (Prefferably a Fantisy setting)
I want to run this on Tabletop sim and Discord as metnioned and I would also be looking to Twitch stream it.
probably a given but Mics are kind of essential but obviously still apply and we can sort any issues out.
Hello, I am interested and, since I am new, I would like to finally start my first campaign. I am 21 from Spain, so I believe that meets some requirements. Here is some extra info. Oh, and I would like to be player
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: VERY new Location/Timezone: CEST / Spain Availability: On summer I am available all days except Sundays and Saturday afternoons, so I am very open there. On the rest of the year... well... I would say I can be on saturdays possibly morning. (Keep in mind I am refering to my timezone time). Preferred role: Player Game style: I am looking for mostly one in which I can learn how to properly play the game and most than anything, have fun. So roleplaying and combat to make it short (I have watched a lot of Critical Role, so I have some knowledge. But not a lot).
Do you have table top simulator and discord yourself? :) and im presuming judging by your message your english is good. :D unfortunatley I dont have any spanish :L
Dont worry about spanish, I can understand and I believe speak english pretty good. But I dont have table top simulator so... is there a place where I can download that or do I have to pay to get it?
Bad news is table top simulator needs to be purchased.
Good news its actually relitively cheap! especially with the summer sale :D atm it is at €10 in my country. not sure if its the same in spain and you definitley get your moneys worth if you are into boardgames and tabletop rpgs etc as thats essentailly what it does. it allows people to play everything and anything tabletop :)
Just the base game will do :) I havent got any of the DLC and I have well over 100+ hours logged into the game :) most stuff is on the steam workshop (Which is free)
Hello, I am new to dungeons and dragons and I don’t fully understand all the rules but I’m eager to learn and I would love to be apart of your group, I’m from England but I am only 16 but I hope you are willing to make an exception to your age rule
The main reason I put the age rule in was so there's no worry regarding mature content should it arise; such as certain language use etc.
Also there is a difference in maturity between 16 and 20. (Not in a bad way just naturally.) I would hate to put someone in a situation where they felt pressured into not being themselves or not role playing naturally and changing trying to fit in with the group!
Hmm. New D&D players listed on here, huh? Well, I'm a DM for two (maybe three) other campaigns and I could DM for you guys, as well (though, I'd prefer to be a player at some point :P), if you guys are willing.
Unfortunately, my weekends are already filled up, so Saturday and Sunday are out, as well as potentially Thursdays.
I'm on Eastern time and have pretty much all the time in the world to play, so it doesn't matter what time we play.
Tabletop Simulator? Hmm. I'm not too keep on Tabletop Simulator due to its clunkiness and everyone having to buy it. Personally, I'd prefer to use Fantasy Grounds, as it's much cleaner, easier to use, does calculations automatically, allows for easy character sheet setup, and--the best news of all--it's free for those who play with me as their DM, as I already purchased the Ultimate License, which means that anyone can join my campaigns and not have to worry about any additional resources. I also have all the books already. But, if people don't want to do this, I do have Tabletop Simulator ready to go and will be more than willing to use it if the majority prefers.
Age, 24, so no need to worry about maturity on my end.
Experience: I've been a player for around 12 years and a DM for 8 years. I've DMed for both small and large groups, the largest group being 14 players at one time--that lasted for about 5 sessions before a couple dropped out. I've DMed anything from 1 hour sessions to 10 hour sessions. I've DMed and played with both complete newbies and with veterans, alike. And I've played in every edition from 1st to 5th except for 4th, including pathfinder.
I usually try to start my campaigns around 12:00 PM, noon, EST, but I can be up whenever people feel more comfortable playing.
I am a newish player with no experience, although I have played a lot of online RPG's so I get a lot of the concepts and think I can pick up the rest quickly with a bit of help.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New (Although played an old dnd version many years ago when I was a teenager - I am now mid 30's ...) Location/Timezone: UK Availability: Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sun nights after 8pm (Weds would be my preference). Preferred role: Player Game style: A bit of everything so as to get a rounded experience
I have discord, and can get tabletop if needed. One question I have is that I have no sourcebooks, would that be an issue?
Happy to have a chat if you want my discord let me know.
Hi! I'm Yorch, from Spain. I don't have any experience and in fact I ended here because of CR. I want to learn with one or two short campaigns so I can absorb as much as possible.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: Tooootally new Location/Timezone: Spain Availability: In fact, almost every night. Preferred role: Player Game style: I don't have one, but I'd like to have as much storytelling and acting as possible.
My Discord is yorchfrias#5951, so anyone feel free to send me a request!
I just want to let you know, Yorrch, that the grand majority of campaigns are not like Critical Role and you shouldn't expect them to be as such when going into this. I hope you find a good group, though.
Oh, I know that really well. Me and my friends tried to start a campaign some months ago, and I say tried because the DM wanted to be almost like CR. Obviously all of us were disappointed, and almost everyone in the party left.

Would I need any special packs or just the original game? And yes, in Steam it says its 10 because of the summer sale
Just the base game will do :) I havent got any of the DLC and I have well over 100+ hours logged into the game :) most stuff is on the steam workshop (Which is free)
Ah, I see. Well, then I guess I will buy it then. Anything else I need?
Perfect :) you wont be dissapointed even if you dont use it for D&D it will have tons of playtime :D
The only other thing needed is just Discord which is free :)
Oh, I already have that. So dont worry on that part
grand! once I get a few more things sorted I'll add you in :)
Alrighty, make sure to do it once all you have to do is done

There wouldn’t be any problems with maturity and I could still join in
