50 years after the Pact War, a rapidly expanding village disappeared in a blanket of fog. No matter who went in, no one came out. 25 years after the town of Ashton disappeared, a message was delivered from someone claiming to be the Viscount of the small town. It claimed the people were in great danger, and that the fog could be lifted only if the darkness can be stopped. He is asking for aid. The mention of vampires, werewolves, other undead, devils and even demons piqued the interest of many factions. Most are looking for volunteers, and willing to pay handsomely for the risky assignment.
