i'v been DMing for four years and i can not, for the life of me, find serious players that know their shit or that are not just a bunch of dumb-asses. but i do get it, life happens or my way of whatever isn't their cup of tea, that's fine and there are no hard feelings. its not like i'm pretending i'm not apart of the problem, i'm not the best DM but i'm not the absolute worst neither. i'd like to think im decent, mixed reviews, leaning towards positive. if you're new, that's fine too but i'm not the best person to help but ill try my best.
i'm mostly free on the weekends, saturday to monday and i'm up all hours of the night so if you're not in the US central time zone like i am, don't sweat it
my campaign/setting is homebrewd and is player driven yet the world still spins without you, meaning if you stop in the middle of an arch to do something else, that shit is still gonna stink without you and get even worse if you don't deal with it. along with other things that you don't discover in time or ignore like that new cult down the street, now because your beach episode took a whole month in game, you got a rampaging demon to deal with when you get back. yet, its player driven because third tier shit wont happen without you, unless you do just retire and become farmers, but that doesn't mean you have to be the good guys and save everything, so be the bad guys.
now if more than five players join and there is enough for two groups, one group can effect the others campaign. like, if one burns down a forest, the other groups questing board that had a couple jobs to hunt down some forest hags will now not be there until the druid conclave get the trees back up and running. that's one down side but the upside is raids and more shit to trade like info, items and connections but of course either group can just say no to this and have their respective campaign be isolated and theirs. all the rules and snazz are already posted in my server, so any question that isn't already answered i would be happy to do so.
