Game: D&D 5e, but wouldn't say no to Call of Cthulhu, Mutants and Masterminds, or Mage the Awakening Group preferred: Most likely online, preferably with Discord and roll20. Not that great with Theater of the Mind unless it's not too complex. I'm in the Southeast Texas area and have no method of transportation, so face-to-face would be a long-shot, but it would be nice. Experience: About three years of experience in 5e, a few months in 3.5. Location/Timezone: Central Daylight Time (GMT-5 until November 3, when it reverts to GMT-6) in Southeast Texas Availability: Any time, any day, after 5pm my time Preferred role: Player Game style: Wanting to get back into a D&D campaign. I recently joined a one-shot D&D server, and I've gotten my feet wet enough and I think I'm able again to play in a campaign again. Was away from the game for about a year for personal reasons. Must be a very LGBT-friendly group.
The kind of D&D I prefer: I see D&D as a narrative engine, not as a fantasy life sim or hack-and-slash video game or even strictly a strategy game. Not that those can't be fun, but not really what I'm looking for. I prefer fun, inventive combat where everyone can feel like they're contributing over a meat-grinder.
I prefer a serious tone with spots for humor. Not really interested in a silly slapstick fest, but also not hardcore grittiness. I wish to play as a hero righting wrongs and making a difference. To me, that's what D&D is all about.
Thanks for reading!
