UK beginner looking to play his first game

Hi all,

so I am  completely new to DnD and would like to find a group willing to give a newbie his very first game. I have watched quite a few games on YT so I do have a basic idea of how things work, and I have discord/mic etc. My free time for gaming can change from one week to the next, the good thing is I usually know what shifts I am working around 4-6 weeks in advance, and I have free time both in the evening and the daytime to suit, wife willing that is ;)

Yes pretty much - nobody I know actually plays so I thought going digital would give me the best chance at a game. 

I'm based in Shropshire in the UK if you are thinking about gaming in the same room. I also hear people play by post which I think is interesting, but have no experience with it.

I can see this is an old thread but I guess it can't help to try.

I'm a complete newbie looking to get into a game.

I'd like to find a face to face group, but willing to try online also if it gets me in and experience up
