Hello, I'm Stranger. I'm a late-20s weirdo who has experience as a player and about a year's experience DMing a fully-homebrew weekly Saturday game that is about to hit the 1 year mark.
I'm looking for an active D&D Discord server community which has chitchat, maybe a DM's channel. It'd also be nice to find a server that offers the opportunity to play or run oneshots. LGBTQA+ friendly, and zero-tolerance policy for biggotry/racism/homophobia/bullshit, is a must for me.
Please tell me a bit of information about your sever and what you are about, how long you've been around, how many members/active folk you have, etc. I'm open to other homebrew world servers, generic/general servers, or whatever seems to fit, but I prefer to know a bit about the server before clicking any join links.
Bumping this, as I'm still not going to click any join links without any information about the server given. (:
Don't blame you on that. Also looking for a fair community to DM and just play. Have not found any good ones and tried a bunch. Most were text based and that sucks imo.
For sure. Like, I'm not necessarily opposed to text-based as a player, but not something I'd want to DM at this point in time.
Mainly I'm looking for people to actually tell me a bit about the server before I click a link because I have too much social anxiety to join something before I know anything about it lol.
I've been tempted to attempt to create my own, especially since I already have a huge homebrew multiverse going on that I'm building, but... Eh? Seems like a lot of responsibility.
Well the server started as one focused more towards running Call of Cthulhu and games that are more gritty and grounded. However you dont have to run a game within that category. In my server DMs can run whatever kind of games they wish. It is my aim to have an environment that is welcoming with an actual sense of community where people interact with one another. https://discord.gg/fagKc7
Our server started as a server for a game but because too many people joined we decided to expand it into a full server. It has less than 20 members, but we are literally on our fourth day so I expect a lot more growth. We have focuses on campaigns and play by post (in discord!) but oneshots are also welcome. We turned this into a full blown server also because we wanted to have a place where we have campaigns for every time zone. The community is friendly and tolerant, as with many other discord communities. https://discord.gg/w5JXmhJ

Is this a server for your single LMP game? A larger community? If it's a larger community, maybe you can tell me a bit more about it?
Could you tell me a bit more about your server, mayhaps? Such as how many members, if it focuses on anything in specific, etc?
Could you tell me a little more about your server, mayhaps? What you're about, how many members, etc? (:

do you play by post
Usually not, but I'm not opposed to checking a pbp game out. If it's the right fit, then maybe.
